The thing I like about base Goku is that unlike all his other transformations most of his moves actually show him as a martial artist instead of opting for flashy moves.
Yeah old DB/DBZ was some real good stuff. I still love OG DB tournaments.

Spirit Bomb is one of the flashiest, over the top moves in the game.
@Fourkov Dramatically standing and taking glowing energy to nuke someone is pretty dang flashy.
@@MayHuggercompared to every other arc, the Spirit Bomb is easily the best last resort. Besides, look at most of the other characters. Goku and the Turtle School plus Videl are really the only ones that really focus on martial arts over being flashy.
This video has taught me one thing, the battle is never over until you are down. You could have a sliver of health that could be taken away by a level one super, but then you hear those blessed words when you input at the right time to save yourself: Kaioken!!!

I have no idea how this game is played or what it's about other than Dragon ball but it's always perfect to see someone good playing it, on a well edited video. Definitely got a new sub there.

So I have never played the game, and always just watched this video for fun, because for real, getting a massive buff like the Kaioken and going absolutely HAM on the enemy looks like stupid fun and adrenaline pumping. So I took a quick five minutes to look up how it REALLY worked in the game, soon learning about x3 and x20 and how it prompts only when your allies go down. It is SUPER tempting to pick DBFZ for this alone, even though I have NEVER played a fighting game in my life, not even Smash Bros. Again MoldyBagel, your content is inspiring on another level. Maybe you should cover Base Goku sometime soon in another one of your videos.

Here’s a tip for all you new base goku players , when you end a block string with down circle then press quarter circle forward X (on ps4) for a downward kamehameha. I use it all the time as a base goku main :) and trust me it works in high rank (living legends)

So I’ve never played this game before and I’ve watched a few of this guy’s videos, so can someone explain to me why Videl takes virtually no damage 0:27 onwards?
Gara Doolah It’s because of the sparking ability all characters can use once per match which gives a damage boost and heals their blue (recoverable) health. You can see that it’s activated since the character has red sparks around them.

How tf did u do that combo at 2:55 on Yamaha ? I tried replicating it but the CPU just techs out before the spirit bomb can hit. Are there any small delays I’m not noticing?
