- A Fun day at the Bushcraft Camp, getting ready for the Big builds! We make fire with fatwood in wet circumstances, upgrade the fireplace, make a firewood drying rack, move the camp bench, clean up camp, and do some spoon carving.

Nice video! A trick with a very small fero rod that I have recently found is to shave slowly so as to get fine shavings without igniting them, build up a small amount of the shavings in the tinder and then ignite it. Extremely efficient and works well when you can't get a long strong strike.

Heys guys the day camp episodes are as enjoyable as your others people who can't get out bush often still get to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere portrayed by your clear audio very much the sounds of nature in the background.also the anticipation of watching your very comfortable knife work,one little slip and we get some excitement lol. @@SmoothGefixt Oh man, I live in the southern US--I'm not sure there is an 'out of season" down here :) I keep finding ways to walk through nests of the smallest baby ticks while walking to the mailbox and then I die on the inside.
But you're right though -- Proper clothes and the right time of year will make a lot of difference.

I've been visiting the dutch and belgian wildcamping sites (paalcampings/bivakzones) a lot this year and while watching this I've decided to try and build enhancements like you do here on those spots when I visit again. Especially like your pothanger! I mostly just set up a tripod but yours looks much more "campy".
Hopefully that will trigger some movement that way instead of people just trashing shit.. (Sorry, I mean people "messing around").

It's a dutch army parka, with three layer system, goretex, synthetic winter lining and cotton outside. Please checkout the clothes chapter of one of our two gear video's.
