- Best Spearfishing Marlin video clip ever taken. Using only a 1300 Rob Allen and a single rubber. Even more shocking it was landed using a reelgun and NO buoyline!!
It was a MASSIVE 500llb Black Marlin complete footage - - กีฬา
@StoutFlier we donated the whole marlin to the local community. it was shared among the people who live in the local village. they were very happy to get all that meat. you can see this full scene of donating the marlin in the final DVD
my two cents worth - spearfishing is maybe the most sustainable approach, as you can select the fish that you intend to eat, without and bycatch, bait or litter. However, a Marlin of this size is probably too big for my table, so he's safe from my gun. Too much mercury in the flesh also. And they are rare. I also think that spearfishing should not be about satisfying one's ego. Its more about choosing the most responsible and connected way to eat fish
Awesome stuff Chris!!!! Love your laugh of excitement. ROFL!!!!! Priceless experience!
Unreal! Definitely the one fish of a lifetime! Can't wait for the DVD!
Excellent!!! Can't wait to see the movie! Congratulations to all of you!
Strange .. you don't get any objections at your reply, and still we say the same .. that the Marlin is a fish under heavy preassure and in some case so threatened it's prohibited to fish .. like the black marlin. But some guys just don't understand the concept of sustainability .. they think only "if I see it, it exists to be hunted by me".
Amazing stuff!
Greetings from Finland!
Matti
What are wet suits used for in the heat ?
i know you will be the first to respect and protect the ocean,, this is amazing.
I've Lways expected the best from a man of your calibre Chris.. But I think this time, you've outdone yourself..!!
Excellent stuff dude.. ;)
what street is it
Perfect shot and hunted fair. Well done!
Wow, amazing!!!
Awesome stuff!
that was awesome, just wish the video was like 4-5 minutes long, that would be amazing
That was incredible!
did it put up a fight at all, or did it die right there when u shot it!?
Beautiful fish.
Honest question...What did you end up doing with the fish? Did you sell the meat?
AMAZING!
epic fish bruh, nice work!
Great shot man congrats
awesome fish with reel gun ROFLMAO!!!! i see 10x and i think one chose ... UNREAL!!!! Congrats!!
...opportunity of a lifetime.....and you nailed it!!....congratulations!
i'm sure u had a wicked adrenalin rush!!...:)
That’s a badass marlin!
love it !
I envy you for the good times on the boat after landing this fish.. Respect!
Insane Chris, I reckon your reactions are better than the actual shot. hehehe.
We all have that one fish. Hopefully mine's coming this summer!
I wounder about the people here with hate messages eat cows, chickens or fish or is all about size?
I agree. I would like my grandchildren to be able to feel the thrill of hooking up with a good sized billfish and watching it jump out of the water. Billfish are pivotal players in the link between man-world...and the best illustration of why C.A.R. is so important. They are one of the staples of sport fishing and if we are not responsible in managing populations, we will lose these amazing creatures.
Impressive- both the shot and the quarry. I love to spearfish myself and yet, I don't fully understand the desire to shoot a Marlin. As a sports fisher and former deckhand, I've always felt that such fish were more suited for catch and release. All the same, I hear marlin is excellent table fair and hope it was eaten and not just hung up in the marina with white numbers painted on its side.
super nice shot...
this is realy one kind of a fish and nice shoooot
That was awesome
Amazing
@Chukytheslayer he took ONE marline?
Remarkable achievement, congratz
best comment on this video so far...
as much as i like the video and the spear fishing... that marlin im sure was key to their survival... if 2-3 spear fishermen do this every year... we wont have marlins that size by the time im 45-50...
for those of you that think im wrong... that marlin was tagged and released several times... you can tell by the fin
awesome!
What king of speargun. Looks like a rob allen but can't really tell.
GREAT SHOT
Flippen cool....wish I could shoot some fish with you guys sometime! Big dream of mine.
man nice fish mate must be so happy :D
Even better. If you watch the film, it shows them giving the whole fish to the local village.
@ITZTV but brother im a spearfisher for 10yrs and i also do trolleing... Sail fish s becoming extinct.. and its against the law in many places in the world.. well anyways i hope u dont cat anymore.. but the joy in your face was speechless.. so im happy that it made ur day... anyways i love ur videos... God bless
Animals are Americas best renewable resource.
Legends 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
amen to that
Impresionante sin comentarios........
nice shot man
Can you do this for a moose? Would be cool.
that was quite close to shore!
single rubber, reel gun, nice
All people who calls fishermen killers, just dont understand the balance of nature.
RESPECT :)
DAMON!!!!!
straight to the brain
Dude...how can you shot such a beautiful Fish :/ ..... Spearfishing is ok .... but that :(
yea its so big and pretty i would have left it
I stopped fishing . I love them.
^^^ All fishermen should see it the same way...because if they don't, we'll eventually run out of stuff to hunt.
@ak74u2 normally it does but he got it in the gills which is pretty much the worst spot you could get it, so it was either dying or dead when he shot it. Was a very nice shot.
wow
nice video.. with class.. im sure the end result is not even one fish wasted.
nice shot, i expected it to swim for the horizon with you in tow
I see it in both a sport fisherman's sense and a conservationist's sense. I like to fish for the sport while practicing CAR with fish that are more vulnerable. For fish which are not vulnerable, many I like to eat. I want others to be able to do the same years down the road...so we must be smart and mindful for future generations. In Marlin communities, NOT practicing CAR is often looked down on...with the major reason being that if we aren't CARing Marlins, they are going to go extinct.
Who still kills billfish?
hahah allright bro ^_^ to be honest this is the most polite youtube comment war i've ever had ... peace bro :)
Where is this endangered information coming from because it certainly isn't from the endangered species list. Sport fisherman let them go because, I don't know if you've ever tried, but it's pretty damn hard to get a 1000 pound anything into a boat and keep the weight centered. Not to mention if you're going to be catching multiple in a day and by letting them go they get bigger for the next time.
god
mannnn! thats amazing to shoot a marlin with a reel gun no float or float line if you hit the wrong spot the marlin will just take off and your reel will be spooled in seconds. He had to stone it or he would have lost the gun. Only single rubber maybe a 20mm thats crazy as well. How big was the gun 1.4? Well even if it got away you would have had it on film i guess you have to take the shot and hope you hit you don't miss congrats guys well done!
i liked the part when people stopped liking the parts
It's just Black Marlin in the 500 hundred pound range aren't that common. It's like seeing the holy grail. So I understand why the tree loving hippies are upset.
Bru best shot I've ever seen china well bloody done I'm so jealous Boet
still cant believe that was on a single band reel gun... wtf?
why do you watch if you dont like ?
Jellyfish hang about in warm weather
You made a very accurate kill shot. No accident.
That's an epic capture. Especially as its literally man vs beast. However, I am a rod and line angler and practice catch and release. How can you possibly do that when spearing one of the greatest creatures in the sea? Of the meat goes to good use then that is alright. If it is for a trophy shot, DVD or something you do every day then you need to assess whether or not it is sustainable sport. Other than that. Good effort and I hope that for future fish stocks that not too many people try mimic.
F*CK YEAH. good job boys
Australians ....
I'm a pilot and that is NOT an airplane.
Nice Shot Dude, It's All about the fun of a great kill
Dude homeboy stoned a 500 pound marlin with one shot
+Brandon w.e WOOW Nice Kill Shot, I love The Kill Zone
BlacKnight Tech want fun fish with a rod and reel for marlin. Pressing a button on a stick to kill a fish dosen't sound like fun to me I wouldn't even call it fishing really
I usually dont have any problems wathing a fish get speares but i kinda felt bad for the big boy
I just hope some day she realizes that eventually EVERY animal gets eaten by something. Even us. We've got big brains, pointy teeth, tribes of buddies, and opposable thumbs for a reason, and it's because otherwise we'd be at the bottom of the food chain. :-) I kind of like being at the top.
when you shoot the fish doesnt it go crazy and start swimming fast and you end up chasing the fish?
Well you don't see that every day!
@landshaark69 yeah he would have gone for a very fast swim.........far far away! haha my buddy did that to a large tuna and almost died bc he wrapped the tie off to tight to his wrist!
@captdiamond Dude o my god they wouldnt shoot it unless it had the potential to be a record fish... and really if you dove down and saw that and truly loved spearfishing then u would shoot it and i respect the ocean more than anything i know and i agree that shooting that fish was brilliant!
Enough food for 3 months
they can catch that and i cant catch 1 bream:(
one shot kill spot yep thats the way to do it
excellent shot with a bit of luck!!!
Here is where you are both wrong. The statement should read "You're worse than those predators in the ocean" I think thats what they were going for... But regardless that fish probably fed a lot of people, or made an awesome trophy.
whatever keep you damn marlin but I will continue to release mine
I'm a spearfisherman and sportsman but I would have let that one go. The guy just lucked out and didn't appear to work very hard for it. Fish that big are typically the last of the breeders and he probably was responsible for the deaths of thousands more black marlins that this fish would have produced. Education and discipline is key.
@RichardCuzz Sitting in a boat with a fishing rod requires no skill. Sitting on a sofa dreaming of having such adventures requires no skill. Just getting in the water is a step that most wont/cant take. Maintianing the composure the be able to hit the fish with an instant kill shot takes a lot of skill.
I'll tell you what...
I'll buy two spear guns, and throw one in the direction of the fish so that he had a chance.
its not about fishing that offends and I love to watch spear fishing of edible size fish, but did not you notice gentlemen the fish completely trusted his or her surroundings and then their dead. Not like chasing a lure such as what we call game fishing. That just looked unethical when I first saw it.
@divelionfish Are you vegan?
there's plenty marlin.. sardines are in decline from over commercial fishing.... the marlin is a sportsman fish....
