    I was wrong about the Joe Flacco game vs the Jags he made great throws and I meant the Steelers game which is why I showed the footage against them but for some reason my premire pro didn’t let me write anything. But still, there’s ZERO world where Joe Flacco should be starting over Anthony Richardson.

      @@ThisisASportsJungle Taking a play off like that especially as a QB loses you the locker room, it's a smart decision to bench Richardson

      Y’all always scream buzz words like “casual” or saying someone doesn’t know ball yet y’all don’t know anything about the sport to the point where you can’t construct a logical argument as to why I’m wrong lmfao

      Did you not see what people IN THE LOCKER ROOM are saying about this? They are literally all supporting AR so the “lost the locker room” thing isn’t true man

    They are benching him out of pure spite for saying he's tired lol. I get benching him for 1 game but punishing him for the whole season is crazy.

      Apparently Steichen said that wasn’t the reason but again, it’s hard to believe anything from this organization

      Richardson brought this on himself. Besides his horrible play… when he tapped out he lost a lot of respect in the locker room and throughout the nfl.

    Joe Flacco led the browns to the playoffs last year and led the ravens with the greatest postseason performance of all time, Richardson led himself to season ending injuries. Even when he’s not injured, he’s tired and benches himself.

    • @ThisisASportsJungle
      @ThisisASportsJungle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The browns defense and O-Line were the biggest parts. Flacco did awful when he got into the post season. What he did 11 years ago is completely irrelevant. Flacco isn’t good clearly

    Dude. I’ve watched Anthony Richardson play. His accuracy and decision-making is horrible. The tapping out was just the final straw. The Colts absolutely made the right decision. They really shouldn’t have drafted him in the first place. never draft a qb because of their athleticism. I’d rather have a quarterback, who can read a defense and is accurate than a quarterback/rb who can throw the ball deep and run like the wind. I wouldn’t be surprised if Richardson is traded.

    • @ThisisASportsJungle
      @ThisisASportsJungle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well 1 you are wrong he can 100% read a defense and he’s a decent QB ALREADY despite not even hitting 40% of his potential. And even if you think all of those things benching a boom or bust QB at 22 years old is objectively a stupid decision

      @ he needs to sit and learn. Then hope to get a chance to start again someday. Probably on another team.

    I'll play devil's advocate, as a 2 decade plus Colts fan
    The leader of the offense, and the team, doesnt tap out of the game. When he does, and is asked about it, he doesnt speak with arrogance and a lack of humility.
    AR clearly has a lot to learn about the NFL culture. While I dont believe Flacco is a guy who takes us on a deep playoff run, I also dont think there is anything wrong with a guy sitting and learning for a season or two.
    I redshirted my first year of collegiate sports, and it makes you take a good hard look at who you are as a TEAMMATE. AR tapping out was a poor decision.
    I hope he figures it out, because he has the potential to be the best QB in that draft class. But tap out aside, the guy quite frankly stinks as a passer. Accuracy is something you can work on in practice while learning what you can from Flacco

    • @ThisisASportsJungle
      @ThisisASportsJungle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fair but “tapping out” is a horrific reason to potentially hinder the development of a guy who played 10 games who was seen as a 2-3 year project. He needs reps, badly. Bench him one game if you wanna send a message then have him back out there the week after. This is a bizarre move

    • @Papa_Slim
      @Papa_Slim 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ I disagree with calling it a "horrific" reason. Its a bummer for both sides, because Steichen's hands are tied. You cant tap out man, and however much it played into the decision to bench him is moot. You CANT tap out, especially in that situation (red zone, divisional game, etc.)
      Plenty of examples of guys sitting behind a vet and learning. Packers have made it work for 3+ decades. Mahomes with the Chiefs. I can tell you hate the decision, and I hate how it came about, but this can be best for both parties. If it takes AR this year, and hell even next year, to figure out how to get the timing of the game down, then so be it.
      Flacco is proven. This owner wants to win. Steichen and Ballard have a lot riding on this move; can they develop AR for the future on the bench? I think so, but that hasnt been the Colts mo (Peyton, Luck, you get it)
      And to your other point, benching him one game doesnt work. What happens if Flacco, on Primetime, wins us the game over a good Vikings team? Now you're clearly benching him based off performance, and I think this situation allows us to say the benching occurred due to AR's inexperience, rather than his poor play

    • @ThisisASportsJungle
      @ThisisASportsJungle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think if they planned on benching him at some point to learn behind it then you shouldn’t have waited till in the middle of his 2nd season. Most other successful QBs who were benched to start in attempt to learn from veterans NEVER were declared the starter at any point until when they officially took over the team (not counting injuries) So it’s a bit different. I can’t think of any QB who was benched by the team and then came back with the same franchise successfully. I think it depends on how AR responds to this but at the end of the day I think benching a boom or bust prospect at 22 in their 10th career game while you are 4-4 is a horrendous move
