I love how ur not like other youtubers. I feel like many feel pressured to always be happy and smile and hide what they actually are feeling but u show ur emotions and I feel like that makes it more relatable and shows how life is actually like. also i really like how max made u notes thats really sweet.
Gretchen I just wanted to thank you for being so open and talking about your dad and how you're feeling. My mom passed away this past May and it's been really hard, and this past Tuesday would have also been hers and my dad's 25 anniversary. Every minute of every day is different and some days are harder than others, but just like my mom for me, I know your dad is now a guardian angel for you. I'd love it if you'd make a video about all the signs and things you've noticed because I know that everyone who's lost a loved one can relate to seeing different signs from them showing that they're still with us, just in a different way. 💛
P.S. those notes from max honestly made me cry they were so sweet! definitely gave me "the notebook" vibes 😊 God sent you an amazing guy He knew you would need in life

The same kind of timing happened with my parents !! My mom lost her dad in college and my Dad was able to meet him before he passed, my grandma always talks about how god purposefully gave them my dad so they would both be ok when my grandpa left!! Stay strong sis you’re doing amazing!!

My boyfriend lost his dad a few years ago and he's in his 20's too. I am super spiritual and tell him all the time that his dad is everywhere, looking out for him and sending him signs. One time he asked me "but how do I KNOW it's a sign?" and my answer to that is - if something, anything, big or small, triggers a memory or randomly makes you think about them - that's the sign". xx

Awww Gretchen ❤️ I wanna give you a big hug!!! I honestly feel like the timing of everything has to be divine intervention. You and Max slightly texted your junior year, but didn’t actually go on a date till the fall. I feel like it was God’s way of giving your dad the chance to meet someone you’ll spend the rest of your life with, and your dad gave his approval and feels at peace knowing you have such a good man who will do ANYTHING for you! It gives me chills thinking about the timing, and how you may have not even met him if you guys didn’t go out in the fall, especially since he’s now in Pennsylvania and you could’ve missed each other and not crossed paths if fate hadn’t played it’s role 😘

Gretchen, I relate to you so much, it's crazy how similar of a situation we're in right now. I was single all through my 4 years of university, then a few months after I graduated I met my boyfriend and we've been dating for a year now. We were together all day everyday for a few months then I started at a new university 2 hours away so we see each other like once every 2 weeks. It's obviously super hard going from being together 24/7 to hardly at all but you start to realize how important the alone time is and appreciate the time together so much more. Just know you're not alone and I feel like we're going through this together 😅💕

I started using the Slip hair ties because of you and they're so cute but they stretch out so easily !!

I heard that if you put the slip ponytails in hot water when they are stretched out they will go back to their original size!

Mine stretch out so easily the silk hair ties and its so annoying but I put mine in the dryer and it helped a little bit

this hits home, my bfs job sent him to Hawaii (we live together in virginia & also I was in Hawaii the same time as you!!) it is really difficult everyday but I learned independence but I wish you the best it gets better!!
Don't ever feel like you're being dramatic about your dad or need to stop crying or getting emotional on camera when talking about him. Feel what you need to feel babygirl. It is such a different experience losing a parent at a young age/ unexpectedly vs. because of natural old age. Losing your parent at 50 vs. 85 is such a different feeling; I've been through it. When you loose a loved one at an old age, it's almost like you're at peace knowing they lived a long life and got to see everything they had hoped to see in their life time and that they are finally at rest. When you loose a loved one at a young age it takes you by surprise. You know they had so much more to see and instead of being at peace with their passing- you're overcome with grief and anger. It is so normal to still be devastated over his loss and life events will happen throughout your life like getting married or having your first child that will hurt like the day he died because he missed out in sharing those with you. Feel those feelings- let it out. I hope you always remember that your dad is looking down at you proud of his daughter and even though he isn't here on earth anymore... he is always in your heart and in everyday things within your life that will keep his spirit alive.
Take lessons to learn another language. I’m telling you, it is fun and keeps you busy AND usually the tutor/school you choose organizes a trip to practice. The hidden notes are the best!

ok im sobbing, we love max
MY mom passed away in january 2010 and in end of september I met my soulmate too and we are together since that time just first we were online - I think such relationships are not coincidence and its like desteny. Yes make such vid about signs Gretchen, when my mom passed away then some time after i went to the place to resolve pictures from camera that were last pictures we took together from christmas time and when i was coming back home in the glass window of one shop that was selling books and it was on the street where my mom liked to go to cafe a lot, in the glass window was teddy bear and it had on belly sigh I love you and I thoguht its messege to me from my mom, and few days later i went again in that place and there was no teddy bear anymore.
Also my mom in dreams show up and telling me stuff what to do, for example when i had errands to do to move to other country but was not yet knowing if will do it- had a dream that I with my mom waiting in line for a visa so it was sign from her to do it, and that dream reapeted again after some time so then i was sure to do it. Also some spirit touched me before her death and same happend before my father passed away also I expericence some werid stuff- some spirt clapped me in back when i was laying on bed. Then That spiritual world is alive.
