"Nobody needs extensions." Thank you for making that point. My sister and I both have bra strap-length natural hair. I'm pretty simple when it comes to styling, but she has no problem rocking extensions, a weave or a wig. She told me that when her coworkers see her natural hair, they always comment about how she doesn't need fake hair. People fail to realize that extensions, wigs, etc. are not always about "need." For some, it's a way to protect their own hair and for others it may be about style preference. For some, it's both. Thank you again for addressing that point in the video.
BTW, I LOVE this hack. I love ponytails, but hate using tons of pins when wrapping tracks. I will be trying your method with some old crochet hair I have.

I was thinking of buying one then I thought to search TH-cam first because my hair is the length and thickness of hers and I have so many bundles of extensions and crochet hair I really didn’t want to buy a ponytail on top of it. So I have grad on Monday and I got my hair passion twisted but the girl messed it up and so I had to take out all the hair and I couldn’t figure out what to do for grad bc it’s so close and I was at a panic. I learned to do it on my own a month ago and became addicted to doing crochet, so much so, that when I go to shop for hair, once, the lady said, you need like a 24 inch because your hair is long, I looked at her and I said, this is crochet hair I have on my head right now and a human hair pony tail made with bundles..............

I like the tie around method you used along with the Bobby-pin to keep the hair in place. I find myself using far too many pins to secure my ponytail. Not only do they irritate my scalp, but take away from the natural look of the hairstyle. This was a very helpful tutorial! Thanks!

I love this idea! I'm in the market to purchase human braiding hair next month for my ponytail. I found your technique to be so easy to loop pieces of the hair onto the elastic band. And just placing it over your existing ponytail for that laid back style. No more drawstring ponytails with the combs @ the top and bottom. Bad!!! I've tried this before. I just wrap the ponytail holder around twice. Definitely cost efficient and handy.
