He he I actually did something like that one time but you see how you have the rivet in I used a rod and you can still do it this way also if you want instead of having the big cable tie down in the top hooking over the guard rails. Take the cable tops off your rivets and ware the rivet metal shank sits on the back of your guard rail drill or use a heated little metal rod and put a small hole on each side of the rivet metal rod and then you can get some fishing line run it into the holes from the guard rails side facing the track and then knot it around the metal rivet shank part to secure it to the rails. this way you won't have anything sticking out of the guard rails when the cars slide or hit into them. Sorry for the long post! 😁

Very clever and cost effective temporary fix Harry, great idea. I really like how you use what you have around and/or what you can find where you are. Not all of us have tons of money to throw at things, so it really helps if we can make something ourselves. Cheers!

A friend sent me a link to a TH-cam video that said "Latvia has many more women than men, and thus, if you're a man, looking for a women, then Latvia 🇱🇻 is a great place", is this news clip true, from what you have seen? I know it's not a slot car or track question, but you're the only person I know that's in Latvia and I want to know if I should "call out" mybfriend that sent me the TH-cam newsclip that covered this, and of course they showed very pretty women in the news clip. 😅 I got a good laugh out of that too, take care Harry and great progress on the track, make sure you checkout some of Nico's "SlotCarDude68" video on track signs as they will make your track really shine. @milohajek yes it's true. There are more latvian women then men in the country, that's even true in my little town .And there are very many beautiful women. My Latvian lady makes my life completely perfect 🤗 I will be adding my homemade signs to the track later but priority now is the scenery. @Scale_Slotcars_Latvia No problem, always happy to support a true fan and someone who also pops in and supports my videos, and darn, now I want to move to Latvia 🇱🇻, it's NOT like the "American Dream" of the 80' & even 90's here anymore, we have to many people that don't know if they are women, men, both 🤔, most women are overweight, don't take pride in their appearance or consider other people, much less their significant other (no wonder all those pharmaceutical companies push those "blue pills", after a long 12, 14 or 16 hour day, the last thing you want to do, as a man, is cook dinner (when your significant other either doesn't work, or sits around online all day), then Clean up, do dishes, etc and then, as a man your supposed to be "ready" to satisfy a female that's been doing nothing all day long, complains about everything as soon as you open the door and then weights MORE than you, yeah, that's why so many other men "need some blue pill"... I don't have a regular women, as she lives 17 hours away by automobile, so we really enjoy the time we get when we get it as we both work very hard, she's one of the few good ones left but she doesn't want to have kids and as I'm getting way older than you'd want to be to have kids, I might have to start thinking outside the box, so to speak. Thanks for the confirmation 👍 and I'm happy to hear that you have a women that sounds like a really fun person to spend your life with. Again, thanks for sharing and if I ever do take a break or holiday (I've worked 127 or 128 days in a row without a day off, and my last "holiday" was in 2008 to Prague to go to my grandmother's funeral, so not much of a holiday, and before that a different girlfriend and I actually took a entire 6 days and went to Florida, enjoyed the beaches, water, golf, and it was generally a wonderful time, and that was 2003, so in reality I haven't had a real holiday in 21 years 😞 (I work so much, I just get my vacation/holiday time paid out each year In a extra paycheck, which is nice, but I'm getting to an age where I'd like to actually take some trips, unfortunately "Biden and crew" have messed up the ENTIRE WORLD 🌎 with their Moronic policies and laws, not to mention EVERYTHING IS SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE, I can't wait for Trump to take the reigns and get the world back on track, as there WHERE NO NEW WARS during his administration, he actually ended several, unemployment was the lowest in over 40 years, the stock market was great, people had extra money in their bank accounts and wallets, and that was even with the nightmare that was COVID19. @Scale_Slotcars_Latvia That was a good comment by Dave 👍 as it could always be worse... at the auto parts store (my 2nd job) I have heard customers ask for the "Red Neck Special" when piecing something together in a non-traditional fashion or similar comments, thus "Hill Billy" engineering something is still a pretty functional way of making something work, and after all, if you're happy with how it functions & looks, then who cares what it's called, right? It was nice of you to send Nico some stickers, I really want to make some hats for our ship, I was going to try T-Shirts, but there are too many size options, color options and materials so I might try hats, once sales pick up a bit more, Cheers Harry and I can't wait to see your new track when it's all finished up 😀
