Beautiful! You are a great teacher. I learned some things to make the sewing in of signatures easier for me. I love watching you and enjoy your sense of humor.
First of all.. glad to hear your hand has healed❤. LOVE the journal and dangle. I have made key fobs, just need to tweak them for journals. 😊Thank you for showing the hole spacing and sewing of signatures. I feel like I could do them in my sleep and yet to have done a single one even awake. Not sure why I am hesitant. But so it goes.😅 Your videos have a new feel to them...just as awesome as before just a new feel. Hope all remains well for you and your children, always.❤
That's a great idea for a video love, crafting while sleeping😘 I know what you mean about the videos and i can't put my finger on it, but they don't feel as natural at the moment. I get in my own head sometimes, so i think i need to give it a shake☺️🤗💜
@CameliaCraftsDesigns I hope I didn't offend because this was a great video. (I have noticed a change with a number of TH-camrs lately, I call it a growth spurt. And it's good to let things change as they will.) I am sure your life has changed with the girls away at school. Things will all balance out just takes time. Sending HUGS!
I absolutely adore you & your videos! I ALWAYS learn something, but your banter during "the make" is Fantabulous! Keep up the waffling 'cause we love it.
Your journal and charms are absolutely stunning. Like everything you make. Thank you for the new video. I'm currently in a mental health unit, getting myself into a better headspace, and I have to say that I love watching your videos. You make it all look so easy. Love the accent and the commentary. And of course the weeeeessss. I needed this video tonight. Thanks from one Julie in Melbourne Australia to another. ❤
Thank you so much Julie☺️ hope you get your head sorted lovely. I don't mention it in my videos much , but i have struggled all my life with my mental health, so have empathy for you Mrs. Glad i can help make you smile. Making the videos and reading your comments gives me a great lift🤗💜
I love that you get as much out of your videos by reading the comments as we do watching them. I usually have a giggle or two along the way somewhere while watching them. Xx ❤
Love the satisfaction of putting a journal together! I have started one and put photos/receipts/parking tickets in, this tells a story of a lovely day out! When that dreaded winter starts to get me down, I will flip through the journal to lift myself back up again! ❤❤❤
😳😱🤯the 1970s was 50 years ago. Letting that sink in … thanks Julie. 😂 The stitching is amazing! Not sure I have the patience to sew in 7 signatures. This journal is coming out beautifully! Xxx 💙🦋
Yes bigger room then a bigger house then a bigger town. You are so funny I love it , I like to do my crafts and listen to you. I am getting ready to put 2 journals together so thank you for your help.😊 ❤ Linda
I love that you are like a bad penny! You keep showing up teaching me all kinds of great things. I love you journal and thank you for going through it page by page. I hope you do a video on the dangle. Also want to tell you in case you didn't know, if you are watching on a phone you can zoom in like you do with pictures. I wanted a better look at the gilding wax you put on so i just zoomed in to see better. Lovely trick i learned so even if you are zoomed out we can still get a better look. Have a great day and thank you for sharing with us. You truly brighten my day and i love your humor and your waffling.
Thanks Marcie love 😊arghhh, i did know about that trick, it was pointd out by my teenage technical department when they brought the feature out, but of course i'd forgotten. so glad you reminded me love🤗💜
Miss Julie, this journal is turning out very beautiful, I like it. I especially like the charm. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖💖💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)

Love the colours of the cover, dangle and closure together. I always used to clip my signatures and always they moved and holes everywhere. Took your advice from one of your previous videos, no clipping, Bob's your uncle, spot on, so thank you 🙂
Thanks again cynthia. sometimes i'm hopeless with colour. I'm terrible with blues and greens together. My kids decided i'm colour blind when they covered the topic in science. I always thought women couldn't be colour blind, but apparently the blue green sort is a thing, who knew🤷♀️🤗💜
STUNNING!!! I absolutely LOVE everything about it. I giggled when you said you would make a video showing us how you made the dangle - - it is gorgeous - - and through the whole video, every time you showed it, I thought, "I'm going to ask in the comments if Julie will show us how she made that!!!" Thanks so much for such a wonderful project!!!

Absolutely stunning journal. I’ve loved watching your process. Thank you for a great set of tutorials, I’m now going on a paper hunt around the house cos I’m certain we have have enough for at least 3 signatures 🥰
Thank you so much Nicola☺️yes you probably have more than you think. do you know i miss scrounging round the house for bits and bobs like i did when i first discovered junk journaling. now it's all squirelled away in my craft room and overflow wardrobe🤗💜

What a great job with 7 signatures! Impressive. I have not ventured anything past 4. 😂 Really is a beautiful journal and that closure is a gorgeous color. Hugs 🤗❤️
Your eclectic journal turned out amazing! Thank you for sharing your wonderful tips. I’m teaching myself how to do other book binding sewing (Coptic, French Link, etc)…not sure why other than I must be a glutton for punishment 😂. I would like to use these other bindings with my art and junk journals, but first I have to practice, practice, practice lol. Just a big thank you for making the art of journaling so much fun!

Julie this is absolutely gorgeous. I think it’s one of the best I’ve seen and look forward to seeing how you make the dangle and the ephemera. However I’m know an hour late for the work I was going to start as I couldn’t put off watching this video which popped up just as I was going to the shower! You’re my favourite You Tuber at the moment ❤

We have our annual exhibition next month and trying to make The Piece for exhibit plus a load for the sales table to pay hopefully for Christmas expenses! It’s also daylight savings now here so I can stay later and make up the hour so no real problem 😅

LOL I love the way you added so many different types, sizes & color papers to the journal. I'm not there yet. My current little journal (more of a pamphlet) is just white copy paper with small pictures printed on the pages. It's a nature booklet. I have a lot of ephemera to add to it. Not just you love. i've never quite understood the pressure to get the needle through all the pages at once. Buying digitals can be tricky, i've bought alot of dodgy ones😅i've also learned to look at them full size on my laptop and not just on my phone. also, they always seem to look better on video somehow, even the ones i print. you live alone, i'm envious as my girls are in full teenage drama mode at the moment. Perfect timing on this vid, Julie 👍💕 I have made tons of ephemera over the past two plus years, but have not actually done a journal. I have three signatures ready to go into a farm/garden journal I am doing for my daughter-in-love for Christmas. From all the vids I have watched I decorated the signatures with ephemera to guesstimate how big my spine needed to be... Good thing... I thought I was going to do a 2-inch spine... definitely need to go bigger.. I think at least a 3-inch spine. (I will take out all the ephemera before sewing in the signatures 😉) I have the chipboard, fabric and light batting for the cover, but just haven't got the brave on yet to make the cover. Your vid have given me courage 💜 Loved how you made the template... definitely will be referring back to this vid!! Thank you❣ Hugs and Blessings~~~~ P.S. Some of my favorite pages are the ppieced (franken?) pages you showed us how to do with leftovers 👍💕
Hi Debs, it sounds like you're all set Mrs. where does this fear of starting something come from? i know it well i have it too, it comes and goes. i'm sure you will do a fabulous job. I totally forgot to put any franken papers in this journal, i need to write more stuff down. currently i'm rebelling against the fact that my memory isn't what it used to be.☺️🤗💜
This is an absolutely gorgeous journal!!! I really appreciate you sewing in the signatures on camera. Thank you for another great video and a wonderful waffle. 😊💜
Loving the look of it Julie. That chocolate ribbon goes really well with the book cover & the dangle. Could you do me a favor? With the eyelet scraps and snaps scraps. How do you put them in your journals? Glue, twine, paper clips. And where on the page. I hope you understand what I mean.
oh Miss, its going to be sooo beauuuutiful... Im already into your store front for amazon.. heheheh, looking for that yummy paper.. sooo pretty... and quick question love... remember the book you were using whole pages to make pocket tags... they were sooo cool... I cant figure out which book it was.... I definitely need more good books. Well, tea is ready, time to chillax and watch you build this beauty. :)) Love and Hugs ☺
ooooo it was that Henry Terry one with the landscape pages. A Victorian flower Album it's called. It is on my amazon, but the price there is often crazy, ebay is your best bet. Thank you so much lovely lady, hope you enjoyed your tea ☺️🤗💜

I understand completely. I only have one 17 y/o left at home and her h.s. school, college, work and social schedule make my head spin.
Another fab video Julie, thank you x Like me, if you had a bigger desk you would just make more mess 😂
Very true Marcia love😅😁🤗💜
Could you do me a favor? With the eyelet scraps and snaps scraps. How do you put them in your journals? Glue, twine, paper clips. And where on the page. I hope you understand what I mean.
Hi Mona, I'm not sure what you mean by eyelet and snap scraps🙄🤗💜
You use the word clusters
Love this journal. Do you have a video of how you made this one please. It looks fabric covered. Thank you so much. x
I got a bigger desk and I still fill it up, and feel cramped, but any bigger and I would have to get a bigger house.
😁🤗💜

ooooo it was that Henry Terry one with the landscape pages. A Victorian flower Album it's called. It is on my amazon, but the price there is often crazy, ebay is your best bet.

Wonderful tutorial, Julie! I'm curious, when you're crafting off camera, do you talk to yourself? 😘👍
Yes, yes I do, it's quite sad really. I talk to household appliances and say weeeee when filling the kettle😁🤗💜
I think it's endearing! It's just me and my dogs now that my mother passed in February, so I talk to them, and my computer frequently. 😁💜
❤😍❤❣❣❣
Thanks lovely☺️🤗💜
