Apart from the fact that she is a brilliant artist, she is an unearthly beauty and (in my opinion) next to Audrey Hepburn the most beautiful woman of all time.

Kate did Lindsay Kemp proud that evening. The added movement of her hand next to the mike made for excellent changes in sound. Her eyes are incredibly expressive.
How damn rude is the interviewer, "Off the album she says....getting the commercial in of course." and "Reading through your....biography, I should say short biography, I wish my biography was as short..." What an arrogant, condescending rude man. Kate has had to endure and suffer many rude and ignorant fools in several interviews, (check out the American interviews) and yet, each time she manages to smile and remain polite throughout. She is amazing as a person, and a pure genius as an artist. No one else comes close.
I’m just in awe of Kate, especially her ability to bring through such strong emotion with her voice. I often cry listening to her. So thankful for these magical clips of her!

Actually now that I see it again, it's pretty obvious that they're lip-synching. Kate probably did a few vocal overdubs on this and Paddy is just syncing her parts.
Yeah, I think she's singing live but there is def a pre-recorded vocal track b/c she's harmonizing with herself at different times. And she's def playing the piano live. You can see the hammers and the damper moving inside the instrument as she plays. And it matches up to what you hear. But on "Moving," there's obviously some instrumentation on a backing track that isn't being played on stage.
I'm sure it was lip sync from a performance they recorded earlier ....( as that was usually the case then ) ....I remember running home from school at lunchtime to watch it 😊

My Brother says if celebrities are going to lie about their age they should lie older not younger. At least then people would say wow how good she looks for her age. If in actuality she were really 27 here, I wouldn't be any less impressed. After being a Kate fan for over 30 years, I have always thought this. If she is really 19 or 20 here, she looks much older than her age. I know she is very well spoken, intelligent, and mature, but 19 or 20? Thoughts?
Most of the songs on her first two albums were written when she was a child at school? That includes Wuthering Heights and The Man With Child In His Eyes, which she wrote when she was just 13 years old... That should tell you everything you need to know - she was just, very mature, special talent and a wise soul in a young body. There's never been any dispute on her age and the events of her writing and recording - tell your brother that Kate's given age is correct.

Alex Stokas I agree, she is astonishingly mature in her early performances and interviews. "Under the Ivy" is an excellent biography that appears to be well-researched. Information from multiple sources discussing her school years, as well as the inclusion of photos taken during childhood, help confirm her 1958 birthdate.
Eastman D I don’t think Kate would have lied, but I have heard of people concieving naturally first time at 47. I think especially on Ireland, and Kate is half irrish. So it would not have been completely impossible. However I think she gives a mature impression here due to heavy make-up, and self-assuredness from starting to working on her goal starting so early. At least I think so! David Gilmore was concerned that the label waisted 4 years from trying to oair her with the wrong producers. It would makt more sense if it was because she was 23 rather then 16 when discovered maybe...
