- As a part of PRS's 35th Anniversary collection, the Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 24 features a 3-piece maple neck, mahogany body, maple top and two impressive-sounding PRS-designed 85/15 TCI S humbucking pickups. Nick Jennison takes this high-quality yet affordable instrument for a spin.

Nick does just do the best gear reviews- so easy to hear the tonal differences playing the same thing for each option - makes so much sense!
Flippin' amazing review! Thanks Nick!
Lot of thanks dear guy, this is a fantastic guitar!
awesome Review. Excellent sound. I was afraid that the TCI were to low and poor in gain. But when You played metal, it definetively convinced me.... THNX
Great demo as usual from Nick! Lots of great switching options here!
BTW, I just arrived here from the current _Guitar Interactive_ magazine after noting that this guitar had been awarded the rare 5-star rating.
Not bad, PRS! (Wish it came in more than this one color, though.)
it also comes in blue... (prsguitars.com/electrics/35th_anniversary_se_custom_24)
I have the Faded Blue model and it’s amazing.
Love mine (blue version) , truly not a student level guitar. These are real deal high quality guitars.
My go to guitar 🤟🏼
Damn this thing sounds killer! Too bad they're no longer available.
@Billious Boquila, there are some at reverb.com
I just ordered the S2 35th custom model on Amazon….
@@kicknadeadcat They may have been a mistake. I wouldn't trust amazon where a guitar is concerned. To many other places online with good reputations. Amazon is ONLY good for certain goods. Hope you don't get burned.
Insane playing
This is a great review. If you could, would it be possible to compare the SE 35th anniversary and the SE Paul’s? They seem so similar it’s hard to find any tone comparisons on TH-cam
Are there any of these left anywhere??
what is the price of a such guitar ?
I can't find one online as I type this, but the SE Custom 24 these days goes for between $829 and $899. Seems like they were $750 around a year ago. Could be this is one of those "special" guitars that goes for $999.
About £840 (www.peachguitars.com/prs-se-35th-anniversary-custom-24-faded-blue-burst.htm)
This has the same specs as the SE 24-08, not the regular SE 24
What pickups are installed, 85/15 or TCI "S"?
TCI S
Bit of a 'too late to the party' review. This thing is sold out everywhere. The 24-08 is basically the same but comes in only two (imo ugly) colors.
Nick cant answer comments, he has his hair done every day
Goong through a Fender Tube
Made in Indonesia?
I bet it is.
Aren't all SEs?
Yes, although it's not really relevant. I have the 30th anniversary (MIK) and this 35th anniversary...and in terms of build quality there is zero difference. The 35th turned up perfectly set up with a very low, buzz free action (I actually raised it a little) and a completely flawless finish!
@@goldtop362 i just bought the SE FLOYD grey/black. I agree with u 100% flawless.
@@Rob-qr2kn congrats, man. Enjoy! 😎👍
I think it lacks sustain?
