Good video.. 👍 👍 I've got a few things.. 1. Long throw gearbox.. 2. Arm rest gets in the way when your changing gear.. 3. Power steering noise when turning on a tight lock..
The noise of the tight locked steering wheel gets me annoyed too. I hear it regularly when idiots opposite park across my drive . I have to cut ridiculous angles to get out.
Mate do what I do, leave the seat belt on the wee hooks on side of front seat that way you get it from there rather than have to reach back, great vid by the way keep them coming lad
Great video mate. I'll be honest everything you said APART from the stone chips I haven't experienced. Got the upgraded seats, don't have any problem reaching for my seat belt (spaghetti arms ftw) and my rear number plate bulb covers came off just fine with a flat head screw where I levered them out. However, the paint is so fucking thin, my car has had a respray on the front bumper before, but it's again completely covered in stone chips that I've just given up and had to accept it. Bunch of white freckles all over the place but luckily at a bit of a distance they're not visible but will be a pain in the arse later when trying to sell (13 plate aero pack)
@@tonyvxr82 Not taking anything away from the car, but it's known by J VXR owners and documented on forums that it is thirsty especially for a 2.0. I get equal MPG to my friends 5.5 V8 AMG. I'll definitely be getting another car, with more performance and better fuel economy in the near future, but for now I am satisfied with my Astra.

5 thing’s really 😮 I’ll give you serious things! 1: the K04 turbo has a 4.5mm shaft, if you decide to track the VXR the turbo will fail! Luckily they make upgraded CHRA in the USA! 2: if you drive in a urban environment the double A pillar restricts your view, you can get around it but that’s the price you pay for that slopping windscreen and better aerodynamics 3: the brakes are too good, yes 355mm two piece rotors and 4 spot brembos have massive braking ability, good pads and you need 600F brake fluid! 4: tuning them does not gain much, air pod either! Best mod down pipe 😊 5: lack of knowledge in tuning them, you can get some stage tunes but if you want to upgrade the turbo or run E85? good luck to find a local tuner!
For me the standard seats are fine (less weight, less time 0-60), I also hate the seat belt... Another one from me is the damn speed limiter button on the steering wheel, I accidentally pushed it while holding the steering and I thought the engine broke or something, couldn't rev it to reach the damn street to make a right turn. Same stone chips on my bonnet, it's like some one sprayed acid all over it, there are more than a dozen small chips and you can see the primer behind the paint, previous owner repainted both bumpers 2 times at the dealership because of that (not the rear one though, that was painted because he scratched it in a parking lot)
I have a 2015 model. It's bonnet looks like it's been peppered with gravel, so many stonechips. I'm off to the bodyshop today to see how much a respray is going to cost me 😬
tyre air pressure sensors in the winter, first cold snap and they play up as the air cools and pressure drops. Fill tyres with nitrogen. The same sensors are used on the Mercedes range I believe, which have the same issue(s) My biggest hate and it's not even a Vauxhall (Opel) part. Braking system is good, I boiled my brake fluid when upgrading to EBC red pads.....changed for HP2000 & went up to DOT.1 fluid, even better braking now. Left the EBC red stuff on the back. Gear box throw is shite, I changed mine to a Miltek (£120) you only get shorter throws in 1st-2nd not really that much more in any other change. I really hate the gap between the seats and the centre arm console. You drop something down there your hand can get savaged by a sharp cable tie end! Windsceen jets, they wash the lights as well and you cannot turn this off, oversprays onto bonnet, pain when you have just polished or washed the car. The boot closure is too clunky, does not sound quality, but rattles like a Trebant ;) Auto air con is a pain, fan goes to max speed on start, always have to turn down (yeah life is hard right!!!) 5 quite petty reasons to moan about the car... if you road tested the car beforehand then most of these rants you would realise before buying the car, why buy the car if you have points to complain about it... and the swearing is every other word in the video which doesnt make you look big. The seatbelt position is messed up, it has to do with the doors being freaking long and hence the B pillar is far away from the driver's shoulder.
I have a VXR GTC too mate, I’m surprised you didn’t mention about how much it drinks fuel😂 one of my pet hates with the car! Keep up the vids though🙌🏻

You forgot to mention the £1,200 for a pair of front brake disks. The day I found out I was devastated haha. I didn't know before i got the car
