The biggest cause of the rot is the hole in the bottom of them that the yellow clip on the end piece of the side skirt goes through - that is why Ford stopped using that method and just use 3m tape to hold the end cap on. Tape is okay but better off using tiger seal.

Am sure you’ve checked loads of videos before hand, yeah hard to get inside the car. But you’re obviously happy not cycling the gears on getting it up to temperature. I’d have got in the window somehow or thr the boot, done mine 10 months ago on 2015 octsvia 2.0 tdi. 4.2L came out. Left 4.7L in after drips started. You should also clear all Gearbox Adaptions after a DCT fluid change. This is the same for all makes with DCT's.

Hi Andrew. I have a 2016 2L petrol mk3, i get a squeaking sound (getting progressively louder) every 2seconds in a cycle and continuous buzz after car shutsdown for around 2min after a drive. Sounds seems to come from water pump area, Does this car have a aux water pump, or is it built into main pump, is it hidden, cant find mine. Sounds ridiculous when walking away. Thanks

2.0TSi or R are the models to get. Preferrably in GT spec with pan roof and leather interior. Amazing bang-for-buck with 200-265bhp as standard

Halfords do a bike torque wrench which goes down to 2Nm. Code is 701767. £40 though. Bought it to replace TT rear spoiler.

Think I read somewhere the rocker cover is not just a rocker cover it also clamps part cams down . Audi vw waybsaving some money .not 100% sure but do some research before you strip it

nice! i thought about getting one for mine but i kind of like the more quiet exhaust with loud blow of valve and engine noise only, i found a blue with black rims 2017 audi TT-S with 82,000 miles on it for $24,900 usd 3k below market value in usa. thats kind of high mileage though i dont know if i should buy it or not but its super clean and super nice i really want it! but i already have multiple cars and bikes and need to buy a house first lol.

Swapping the EA888 for a TTRS engine is a hell of a job. Check Saving Salvage’s channel. He’s swapping a 2.5 DAZA engine into an Octavia. Just the work on the loom and the engine management was mind boggling.

When I had my water pump replaced they basically took off the whole front end (bumper, radiators, intercooler) and doing it that way you have access to be able to replace the belt

nice luckily i bought my mk1 at 75k mileage and the guy i bought it from was a military nuclear scientist and he replaced the water pump with the timing belt kit at 70k miles or sooner. I think most people say to change timing belt at the same time. I have come to notice a lot of people on the car sales websites try to sell german cars right before this service is needed around 70k miles for water pump/timing belt replacement, so they sell it to someone who most likely never owned a german car and doesn't know this service is needed. and if you buy an older model it might cost more to change then you paid for the car lol
