By far the best guide iv seen from BDO so far, i might try a wizard or witch because of this. I struggle really bad with having fun in the game and picking my class atm, so this was really refreshing.

Magic arrow is two diff spells when moving and when stationary, to the game. They can also animation cancel each other. Stutter stepping in one direction more than doubles the dps of this spell. If you keep moving in one direction with your stutter steps you also don't have to repay the stamina cost. This makes this spell your highest dps filler option, with no mana and practically no stamina cost. Not skippable :(

I just started BDO and actually do have a few follow up questions. 1) You mentioned a general structure of priority, but can you elaborate with a recommendation of what to put points in besides fireball and fireball explosion going from 1-50 (PVE focused specifically)? [So essentially a priority guide for really early levels.] 2) And secondly, what type of gear would you recommend for a PVE-only focused character, assuming again that I'm broke and brand new? If you still see comments on this and actually reply, I'd be very grateful! This guide was great and very well spoken, so thanks once again. :)

+Connor Moore Wizards don't have animation canceling, friend. The only thing they can do is interrupt channels with dodge, which subsequently cancels the damage of the spell, and quick casting.
+Connor Moore You can animation cancel via dagger stab at the end of spells such as Earth's Response. You can also do a slowed animation of an invuln frame via casting a Earth's response of regular dodge after fireball.

+Keven Yee Keep Rotating your three combos on cool down. Provided that you dodge a couple of times you won't have any downtime. If you're 100% immobile fill in the gaps with Lightning Chain. I would be careful using your ultis.
I have been playing around with using fireball at only rank 1 and relying on interrupting its cast with fireball explosion. Basically removing the cast time on fireball, you still get the knockdown, and you chain into the stronger explosion quicker. I have instead maxed out magic missile to get the multi missile ability, which I really like as I can weave it into my casts pretty effortlessly. I am almost always trying to get either a back hit or down hit with it and the damage is pretty strong for a quick casting spell. I think the next ability im going to try to max will be speed spell. will take a while though.
This guide is extremelly outdated. I`m Witch 59. Multiple Magic Arrow is the number 1 way 2 go. Cast Speed is a must have. Fireball is bullshit. The only worth is the Explosion. Max out your Mana drain. The first tick gives you 100 % mana back. so you can cancle the animation. with a Sidestep ( Eyeframe 2 block incoming shiet ). Chainlightning while leveling OK. Lightning has 2 be maxed lul. It`s the initial DMG wich counts, 2 clear up HIGH HP targets, and cleaning the low HP mobs with the combo follower. Like that ou can kill of the HIGH HP mobs with the following combo. ALSO! Lightning is the spell wich increases your ultimate`s damage. Even while there`s written, that the damage DIFFERS from the initial spell damage, that doesn`t mean, it`s not increasing at all. Not at all. It IS increasing. Therefore... Max it. Even tho it`s your opinnion, I get that. But you might want to slow down a bit in terms of " pushing " that guide 2 be very good. It`s not. It`s completelly outdated. There`s a lot more. you`ve said wrong there, but w/e. Just delete this guide. you misslead new ppl into the wrong direction.
I like your vid im using same combo rotation ect ect.. but i have to disagree on spellbound heart. It Does give you a feeling that you have endless mana for a period of time when you are maxed in that tree. but its a preference thing i guess
interesting video... but i think ill stick with my 1 button lightning farm build. ignoring all other elements and getting healing and mp orb as support and taking babysteps on teleport and freeze due to the constant inconsistent but reliable stunning of lightning. but yeah... alright video. didnt ruffle my feathers like this guy Fred... but yeah.

the melee attack is very useful it gives you 20% MP each hit or more very good when your mana syphone is on CD an you wanna use all AOE combo

you never said why to max fireball.
This was when the game was first out for English speakers. At this point from my understanding it's best to not max it for the reduced cast.
What are the priority skills now for Wizard?
Are those build guides supposed to have nothing on them?

you only have around 166 SP at 50 if you speed leveled.
