    I saw a video about the bucks overreacting to them beating the sixers without pg or embiid and one of the top comments was "darvin ham was the missing piece" and people were unironically defending it. also the guy's name is ham so idk what we all expected

    I wouldn't say it worked perfectly, but what I would say is that the team is buying in towards JJ more than Ham. However time will tell.

    I definitely doubted JJ, but the one bright spot even before the year started was the challenge of keeping a LeBron led locker room. LeBron basically been an assistant coach the last few years and because of his knowledge, you can tell when he doesn’t respect his coach and as the leader those feelings go to the entire team. It wasn’t his fault Ham was bad, but the second LeBron no longer trusted his knowledge, the locker room was gone and the lakers collapse. LeBron has to be bought in on the coach so the JJ hire immediately said to me that regardless of how good his plan is, he’s got LeBron locked in which is huge. On top of that, JJ has proven he truly is a great mind and will keep LeBron’s respect

    • @Odysseus1999
      @Odysseus1999 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And we saw the same thing years ago with David Blatt. LeBron has to like the coach.

    So when everyone thought JJ was a bad decision and he is there only because of Lebron no one wanted to listen to us, we told you: watch the Podcast that man is a basketball genius and if he teams up with Lebron, the best basketball IQ in history, they are gonna be very successful, and it shows in the extra effort from every player because they actually bought into the new system, the ball movement, the offensive rebounding and more importantly the offense is like an oiled machine, the Lakers coaching staff are actually coming up with plays and schemes, the Lakers offense in the past couple of yars used to be: give Lebron the ball and let him cook..You are late but welcome to the party..

      @jemelon13 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      I liked the JJ hire, I liked him over Ham pockets... the doubt was never about JJ's bball IQ, it was mostly coaching iq and coaching experience, there's a difference to calling out plays on a podcast vs setting it up as plays in practice over and over. There have been a lot of former players with high bball iq that went on to coaching but was terrible. JJ is an outlier to say the least. Despite a small sample size of 4 games, he has definitely changed thr culture.

    • @FBARCCW
      @FBARCCW 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jemelon13 I absolutely agree with every word you said, but here it is where I think we see things differently: there is a difference between high bball IQ and just high IQ in general, I believe Lebron, JJ, Draymond green, Jokic etc are actually very smart individuals, you can tell from their very successful personal lives ( business, family, investments, etc...) but Raoan Rondo, Larry Bird or Isiah, etc they have a high bball IQ and that is why they couldn't find much success as coaches or off the court..Having a high IQ allows you to use your intelligence in everything you wanna do and do it perfectly, having a high bball IQ means your court presence is felt through your movement, passing, setting up plays, etc but that doesn't necessarly means that you are a smart individual.. I hope I was able to get my point across..

    • @jay12120

      @@jemelon13 still ppl were over the top about jj in so many ways. Alot of non former nba coaches were terrible too. Jj went to duke and was player of the year and had 15 yr nba career, to think he cant call plays is wild. Especially considering they got coaching OGs nate mcmillan and scott brooks. Ppl didnt want to take a wait and see approach with jj, they went straight to crazy talk even bringing bronny into it.
