Shipspotting Incredible Variety of Ship Traffic NY NJ Port Hudson and Kill Van Kull 4K Drone

Congested Port of NY and NJ with heavy ship traffic including passing super close by on the narrow Kill Van Kull exiting to/from Hudson River. Includes container ships, vehicle carriers, tankers, bulk supply ship unloading at Atlantic Salt and of course many barges and tugs. The car shortage must be easing because there are a ton of vehicle carriers coming into port. Great for #Sunset #shipspotting in Port New York New Jersey, the busiest port in the USA.

Amazing view! I'm amazed you guys are allowed to fly a drone there. Here in Europe régulations are more complex and strict so you normally can't fly on busy waterways and ports sadly.

The Draco tanker and the container ship looked to pass super close together. Is that normal or do they usually wait to pass on the Hudson?

It's actually further than you'd think and they pass all the time. They can't go much wider than that because they have to stay in the shipping channel. Still very cool to see.
