Lambie never settled at 10 and wasn't the best 15 (guys like Fans Steyn and later Willie Let Roux were better at 15 ) ...so I'm not sure why people repeat this myth. Morne Steyn kept the scoreboard kicking and was a better fit at 10 , and later a young Pollard was better than Lambie at 10 . So what era did Lambie offer this value ?
I remember this match, this was the first match that I watched where the springboks have beaten the all blacks I just remember my dad jumping up and down out of joy after the final whistle. I was about 7 years old at the time
I would ❤️ to know what Andre said to Pat there @ the end??? I'm so happy you took that kick & not me"???!!!! 🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂Pat I can remember that game like it was yesterday's & you where a legend!!!! & will continue to be a sorely missed flyhalf!!!!!! ALL THE BEST SHARK'S & BOKS FOR LIFE👍👍😁😁
The boks will always be our formidable foe , I still recall getting up and seeing my dad sitting next to our radiogram listening to the all blacks playing south Africa at 2am in the morning, this was before colour tv we couldn't afford even a black and white tv.
As a Kiwi, these are the matches I enjoy watching, edge of the seat stuff, a bit of drama, on a edge. Whilst I always want the ABs to win and for but a moment in time its difficult to take a loss, end of the day, as long as its a good game, then you can't ask for anything more than that.
Most intelligent words I've heard today Crypto is the future!! Well said!! I was shocked when I read that 1 Bitcoin will be equal $220,000USD in 2021 on Morgan Creeks digital assets!!
I thought we were going to win the World Cup after that win. Then we really struggled in the end of year tour and were horrible until the knock out stages of the World Cup in 2015.
Will never forgive CJ Stander or Ireland rugby as a whole for robbing us of a great rugby player and robbing Pat of a glorious future. His dreams were cut short and was destined for so much more.
Heyneke wasnt the sharpest coach and never knew what he had in Lambie even though every time he picked him he did magical stuff only to be put on the bench.Dom doos.
The beauty of having a home broadcaster who can pull up a replay from minutes before to show an opponent transgressing. It became quite a feature of tests in South Africa. It's fine if they were done from a neutral perspective and both sides got an equal treatment but unfortunately they always favoured the Springboks. I hope World Rugby have sorted that out. Having said that all credit to Pat Lambie for clinically nailing the final kick. The day he kicked the goal to beat the All Blacks on Ellis Park is something he will always be remembered for and a memory he can always treasure.
Please man, you need to wake up! NZ is the team most famous for getting away with murder! Whether is NH fans, Arg, USA or wherever they all say NZ get away with more than any other team. So maybe the broadcasters helped SA here but the refs have been helping NZ for YEARS.
@@brettfleiner4906 That's a subjective point of view and Referees internationally would dispute that bias claim. Why NZ would get special treatment is also nonsensical. There is a WRU system that reviews Refs performances and if they are found in error ( and there are many examples over the years) there are consequences, Refs get dropped and can find it difficult to get the big games again. The broadcasters on the other hand have no body that oversees them or their business so you cant compare. Its noticeable that SA fans are the most vocal about perceived bias in Referees. When one sees how poorly SA does in international measurements of corruption its understandable that South Africans have a jaundiced perception about systems and those who regulate them.
@@MrAhuapai So based on your response, you imply that all South African's have skewed perceptions due to corruption. Then it would be fair to imply that all New Zealanders having skewed perceptions due to feelings of superiority. Noticeable in their failure to acknowledge clear bias favoring the All Blacks in refereeing. Two penalties in the last few minutes of this weekend's game that were clearly NOT penalties. A 50-22 kick that went unnoticed by the touch judges and when called out by SA staff, the staff member was threatened by the ref? Covering up mistakes by punishing coaches and teams who call out blatant bias (or incompetence) is not accountability.
@@brettfleiner4906 My point is that Refs aren't cheating or biased. They get it wrong . Roman Poite didn't award the penalty that would of allowed the ABs to beat the Lions in 2017 . He apologized later everyone knew it was a mistake but it wasn't because he was biased to the Lions. He got it wrong. Wayne Barnes got it wrong in 2007 with an obvious forward pass. everyone gutted but he wasn't biased to France. If Saturdays Ref was biased against the Boks why would he penalize the ABs twice within 2 minutes at the end of the game allowing the Boks to get a victory at the death. Given the millions bet on these games the only reason a Ref would willingly make wrong decisions is for financial reasons. No one would be stupid to risk their career and potential criminal charges( like the cricketers) unless they are on the take. So if you have proof or evidence....
Wow i really miss seeing him in a Bok jersey. I dont think we appreciate how valuable he was to us.

Lambie is a legend of the game without a doubt.
As a Kiwi, every loss hurts, my stomach is churning watching this.
What a game though. The Boks were awesome
Yoh I miss Pat lambie!! We could really use him
A career that ended way too early unfortunately,so sad but the memories remain forever.
Let's appreciate the little we have mate. He was a gem
The 2013/2014/2015 game at Ellis Park against the All Blacks were all absolutely incredible.
What a kick by Lambie the silent assassin
Exactly, both games were aswome
Good to see Mr. L again. Boy did.we need a kicker 2 weekends ago.
What an absolute legend
A very underappreciated player imo. Always rated him, calm head and a good boot. Shame how his career ended, very sad. Hope he's doing well
Absolute legend!

Great kick Pat
You are a legend and a good ambassador!
You made us proud
God bless you Pat. Thank you for all you’ve done sir

One of the best kickers of cause. He was a marvel to watch, I think Kings Park is his best pitch.
A Durbanite through and through. Hot and humid Durban was his playground. No one could touch him.
What a humble well spoken dude 👍🏻
What a legend
One of, if not exactly, my favourite rugby matches to date!
I remember that game like it was a few hours ago 😁. We celebrated like crazy in the house, great memories for sure 👍
Lambie you legend
Yoh I still get goosebumps every time I watch that Hougy try. Top rugby
Pat still looks 20years old! What an awesome player he was.
We miss you Patrick 🥺

We need Pat Lambie now more than ever
Patrick Lambie what a great player he was. Pollard would've been nervous if Pat was still there.
Make sure Pollard watches this. He will be playing his heart out because of this video🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 Lesss Gooo boks
I wish he was still part of springbok
Really miss this legend in the Bok jersey
Pat miss you sir 😢
Man, we miss this guy. Sad what happened to him. Would've been a 2 time world champ also in his career.. He is the James Dean of SA RUGBY
Boks v All Blacks. Can never get any better than that!!!
I was there, the boo the stadium made after the hit in Scalks was loud and monster kick from Lambie
Miss this man 😭
Great video. Pat Lambie is a good man.

This days if you are not spending to get more then stop spending

I wanted to trade crypto but I got confused with the fluctuations in price
It is always our biggest challenge coming up against the
Boks no matter what side of world

Legend!
Great player
How Lambie could manage to kick with such big balls of steel remains a mystery in the rugby circles.
He looks very wistful when he sees the team walking out. The power of memories
Pat is underrated
I wish we gave Pat more games in the bok jersey.
I thought we were going to win the World Cup after that win. Then we really struggled in the end of year tour and were horrible until the knock out stages of the World Cup in 2015.
Should have had +100 tests. Such a great player

What do Ireland rugby have to do with it
@@Jamie-ee4llnothing. This guy is just a little bitter.
The dislikes on this video are people that think they can kick better
Lambie, I called him The Silent Assasin" of International Rugby.
I'm sure that you loved the game from yesterday Pat.
Game 101 - 02/10/2021
People know lambie was one of best forgotten or not
Now this is a flyhalf not Pollard
You guys are so harsh on Pollard. The boy was phenomenal in our 2019 RWC victory.
@@lithaqwase4499 that doesn't mean he isn't human and can't lose form or focus. Because he isn't a robot. He fails to produce find next best in line.

Full game please...... anywhere any link would help
This man would of had such a remarkable career if he wasn't so unluckily plagued by injury 💔💔

England fan but a real shame Lambie's career was cut short by injury
No:20 Messon tackle today is a instant red card
South Africa used to do about 20 of those a game.
All blacks dont get carded

Miss Lambie, what a player he was
A cowardly tackle ended Lambie's career. Quietly waiting for karma ⏳
Liam Messen, the cry baby who choked when Bismarck touched him should have been red carded for that contact to the head.
