    Literally perfect timing. Started searching for isometric figure drawing guides yesterday and found nothing. This is great!

    You took an intimidating concept and made it feel really approachable. I mean, that's kinda you anyway, but drawing figures in iso was something I never even considered before you came along.

    This was an awesome tutorial. I didn’t expect an actual breakdown and assumed it was going to be a general (and less helpful) overview. Pleasantly surprised. Thank you for all the tips

    8:52 I’m stealing that. Creepy as hell and also I love moths. I think it’s because of the godzilla monster Mothra, she was so cool! Fun fact: moths are cooler than butterflies

    Im a scientist and i work with a guy that works with butterflies. He told me a fun story about how his boss had him poke caterpillars eyes out to demonstrate that the species have some other form of colour perception and dont need to *see* to be able to camouflage. Anyway, great video, very much inspired to go practise now!

    I've just started watching your stuff recently and wow... WOW! Everything you draw is so so beautiful and alive. You fill me with such inspiration to create my own worlds as well. Even though it's all in black marker, there's such life in everything you make. I can't get enough of it. I'd honestly love to commission you, or buy a large print of a dungeon you drew and put it up on my wall.
    By the way, I've seen a few videos now where you have your drawing tool in what looks like some foam. What is that? Kind of reminds me of a pool noodle, ha! I'd love to know, because it looks soft and it might help me as well when it comes to drawing. I have a terrible habit of using a death grip on my pens and pencils.

    • @mapcrow
      @mapcrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching!! If you check the description for the videos with the foam grips, it’ll say what they are. I need to take care of my hands because I draw so much! I am not available for commissions at the moment, as I’m finishing up some freelance and teaching the end of the semester! Cheers!!
