When they play Imperium before they drop the curtain it gives you goosebumps. Then they start the guitar part of Kaiserion and drop the curtain. This song is so awesome live. You just have to sing along.

For me Imperium did show me the album's direction, cause to me it sounded like a bombastic and theatrical ode to "To Live is to Die", and it fits perfectly with the rise and fall of empires theme~
The "HeheHEEEEE" sound you made at about 9:24 was the same sound my soul made upon hearing this track for the first time. Such a strong and solid opener to an amazing album!

The intro track sounds the same as the end of the final song actually...Respite on the Spitalfields. It's part of the concept of this album that empires not only rise and fall but that it repeats throughout history..or in other words in a circular way. So it's cool that the album comes full circle at the end.

The piano breakdown in “Griftwood” is my favorite part of the album. When he sings “Holy Mother. You Washeth The Sin From My Feet”. Beautiful. Second favorite is Spillways.
This is how the US shows have opened, with Imperium being pre-recorded, behind the curtain - then being raised for Kaisarion. Its a definite statement of intent. Nothing else really like it on Imperium, but that's not surprising. This is supposed to be the strident bugle blast to kick things off...
Imperium opens the album like an updated intro to the song “Battery” by Metallica, which opened the epic “Master of Puppets” album, arguably the greatest thrash metal record ever made. Listen to them back to back and you’ll hear the similarities. Love the new Ghost album.
This album sounds so Papa 4/Cardinal Copia! This has more of Cardi's personality than Prequelle i think. Love all the Ghost albums, the differences feels like the different Papas

You mentioned MCR, some of the riffs and drums of Kaisarion remind me of Welcome To The Black Parade as well.
