So I just got caught up with the 2019 dub and I think it’s awesome they brought back so many of the original voice actors and man have they grown! This is not a bad dub but the pronunciation of Japanese names is better and their voice acting is better, more emotion they did really well
This version is far more light-hearted than the current one. Even though it doesn't stick to the actual storyline from the manga it's fun and heartwarming to watch ☺️
I watched this anime, read the manga, and watched the new anime. It's been a while since I thought about this version of the anime, and my love for it has totally been rekindled.

I enjoy the new one for its character development and continuation of the manga's plot, but I like energy and animation of the original so much. I don't prefer one to the other overall, rather I think each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

He sorta like an angstier version of another princely guy I saw once in a really popular movie, but I can't think of his name. . . but I think it's the same name as one of Yuki's voice actors. . . Who could it be. . . ? *already knows who I'm talking about and wants other people to guess* Wow. I really do have the plotting mad skillz of Shigure.
I admire Hatori for being the only one to know how to punish Shigure, but if Hatori really wants to punish Shigure, I think it should go more something like this. keep your retributional feelings bottled up long enough for Shigure to simply punish himself with his own paranoia by destroying something he really wanted for such a long time and let drown in his own tears at the realization of what he'd just done.
That comparison is like saying two persons are a human. In the Zodiac story the tiger and the cat are two different characters. It's their individual spirits that curse their current people, not the sole species.
As much as I love the new anime for different reasons the old one sure was funnier

i really like the way Hatori walks in and sees yuki and kyo in a fighting stance and then he makes that funny face.
This is also one of my favorite episodes. Shigure is super funny in this episode, though he is funny in all of the episodes.
