Your question about the big why got me thinking about my beliefs. The easy answer for me is my Savior Jesus Christ, but then going beyond that is the “so what then?” I often ask the teenagers I teach, and ponder for myself while doing mindless chores like dishes. I believe for me, in my mundane life, it’s helping people in the moment. If a smile or a kind word or a helping hand is needed, I try to provide it. As for your adventure (I just discovered it, so I look forward to seeing how things go without having to wait 😉) I applaud you for trying to live a more minimalist lifestyle, even if only for awhile. After my parents passes away six months apart, I saw what I and my siblings valued, and what we didn’t so much care about. I am trying to declutter and get rid of all the stuff in my life that really isn’t that important. It’s pretty liberating! I hope Cody settles in well to the traveling lifestyle and look forward to watching your next installment. OH, and I think Morro Bay is beautiful!
Thanks for the comments. Sounds like you have your big why pretty much mapped out with your relationship with Jesus Christ. My adventure ended a while ago but it was a lot of fun for both me and Cody. Cody passed a couple months ago which was hard but he was 16 so it was his time.

I am not sure - i feel when i can be present I am often content but more often than not I am either focused on the past or future - which has me restless. The journey of life sounds adventurous but I am not really sure....
