Thanks for explaining how the friction zone changes with lever adjustment I was having a little trouble understanding it. Had the cable slack right but couldn't quite get the feel I wanted.
You want to adjust the clutch lever so that the clutch catches ~1 inch - 1 1/2 inch from being pulled all the way in. That way when you're at the stop light clamped down on the lever. You are not compressing the heck out of the clutch pack springs. Yes there will be SLOP when you completely release the lever thats normal -> Your mileage and oppinion may vary... I'm in no way saying Dan is wrong. I'm just explaining it different.
Awesome ! - my hands are small & glad there are Levers that made to adjust for riders w/smaller hands ... Still hope you consider Nikki to install a Gear Indicator (helpful to new riders). Keep up the good work - enjoy your videos DanDan !
I would recommend adding some shims/washer to those levers (at the attachment bolts) because those levers are REAL sloppy (up and down movement). That slack will start to cause ware on the connections very quickly. Just my 2 cents. Ride safe.
I was gonna ask about this. I put eBay levers on my bike a couple weeks ago, and it has the same slop - especially on the clutch. I was thinking of a thin washer greased up, but wasn't sure if that's a good idea or not.
Great video! I am looking to get a Honda Grom or a Rebel once I complete the basic rider course. If I get a Rebel, I will definitely look for this upgrade!
If you get a Honda Rebel, I suggest you get a Gear Indicator. Helpful to new riders who are unfamiliar with manual gears. Check it out on TH-cam (sells on Amazon). Best of luck to you!

Do you know if they will fit the Rebel 1100DCT? I broke my brake lever and replaced them, but after installation, my brake light was not coming on. Turns out it's not long enough at the bottom, so it doesn't push the button to put the brake light on. It's less than a half-inch short. I got them off Amazon because they stated it would fit the Rebel 1100. They even say Rebel 1100 on them and they donl't fit...Go figure!
Oh no! What happened to the video of the camera pointed at the levers when you ride? also, the camera angle on the levers made it difficult to see how the lever was moving when you adjusted it.
The one where they recommended you purchase the 80 dollar ones instead? That seemed like a long winded sales pitch. You can sking about 4:30 minutes to get to the part you want to see where her explains the faliure
Just brought these Same for the 2018 Gsx 250R and i’ve been seeing some bad Brake reviews on this. i see that you are a extremely safe rider just wanna make sure yours are still holding up to par. it’s some guys over on another channel that Bunks these levers any take on that?? just curious. i installed the clutch lever but not the brake levers .. thanks March 6th 2020
Anyone that has used these for multiple riding seasons that come comment on quality or any failures (frayed clutch or break cables, prematurely worn out clutch or brakes, etc)?
Hey Dan, I have no problem with the Rebel clutch, etc. It is quite light compared to my Harley. But I find the clutch on my Harley a little too far and too stiff. Is there any adjustable clutch lever for Harley at all? I don't see anyone has it.
I'm using the L-shaped or j-shaped GoPro Mount and I have the mount on my helmet with sugru. I have a video on me and stalling it and it's still working strong

I cheer for the Rebel 500. Lots of customizable parts, easy to ride, cheap. Grom is kinda underpowered

Do break handles need to be motorcycle specific? I broke the handle on my cmx 1100, will the handle of the cmx 500 work, until i get the oem for 1100.

They're actually a few adjustable levers for Harley. I believe Roland Sands design, and Arlen Ness make some. But they like three hundred bucks
