yup, and of Revolution, Zoo, The Colony, Jericho, Firefly, Dark matter, Continuum, Dollhouse, The nevers, The Journeyman, Rome, Flashforward, Caprica, Surface, Almost human, Wayward pines...
Thank you for your time and posting. I really liked the Peripheral, but I'm a fan of Chloe Grace Moretz. Dark Matter was great. Fringe was so way ahead of its time. Counter Part was canceled way too early. Humans was really good. I watched Far Scape just to see Claudia Black. Travelers was excellent but disappointed when it was canceled.
@@Mr.DJones i agree, but the guy who wrote it also did thor and babylon 5. the tomorrow people is along those lines and has a few actors that would go onto better shows that weren't canceled.
The Fringe was amazing but I dont think classifies as underrated. It made 5 seasons and ended with people wanting more. A great series and very much rated.
I'd make that same comment even more strongly about Babylon 5. I thought there were some great picks in this list but B5 is one I would say is both very well known, at least amongst sci-fi enthusiasts, and very highly rated.
Really enjoyed the Lost in Space re-make (much better than the original). You could criticise lots of it but it kept me entertained. Great robot concept, nice references to the og, but some truly whacky story lines - got the impression that the writers/producers didn't know where this was going when they started it - but the Robinsons were just about interesting enough characters to keep me watching despite the awful Dr Smith..
This is a great list. I'd put Travelers as my favourite there. I've never watched Space Above & Beyond and I worry that the somewhat clunky SFX I saw in the clip, perfectly understandable for the time it was made, might spoil the experience for me a bit but I must at least give it a try. Of the others, the much-loved Farscape is the only one that I couldn't really get on with and got bored and stopped watching somewhere in season 2. That has happened to me with other TV series though when I just couldn't get into something the first time around and stopped watching but then came back to it a few years later, starting at the beginning again, and got totally hooked so maybe that's another one I should give another chance to.
B5 is a great pick. After watching dozens of sci-fi series and the top rated stuff like expanse, BSG and the greatest Trek shows etc I still feel B5 was something else. The narration and the storytelling were very realistic and well planned. This show had dared to delve into the dark politics much before any others that gave it a great spread of emotions to work with. Actors londo + g'kar pair were one of a kind. It executed the most brilliant time travel stuff that i had ever seen in any show or movie. Only drawback, visually it looked poor due to outdated CGI even for it's own time.
i disagree whit you about the outdated CGI. It was the top notch at the time. Well best equipment to porduce at a not so expansive cost Computer. (AMIGA)
@@Anatol_Tobler yea it looks dated cuz of the limited budget they had and the rapid improvements in gfx/visual quality of media since the 90s. The show must be remade or atleast have a spinoff that continues the narration.
Really wanted to enjoy the Peripheral - also a huge fan of Chloe Grace Moretz - but just couldn't get going with it. Neither the narrative nor the characters were engaging enough to outweigh all the weird plot sh*t that was happening for no apparent reason. Look at the 3 body problem for an example of how to do this (much) better.
Watched most of them. Dark matter - was awesome, it was a crime it was canceled. Space above & beyond - just skimmed through, I couldn't watch it, it was too old and boring, compared to more modern shows, it got obsolete very fast. Farscape - didn't like it that much and for the most part it was weird and boring, skimmed through most episodes, the further, the more, it was not engaging and just stupid when it comes to character creation - not believable, inconsistent, repelling personalities, chaotic story, bad, unbelievable relationships, etc. I was surprised seeing Fringe on this list - it was not underrated. At its time, it was a known, popular show.
I wanted more seasons of Travelers 😭😭😭

try sense 8!
also watch babylon 5 and The Tomorrow People. b5 was the first to go cgi for all the effects, so try to over look the worse effects that date it.
@@craiglortie8483 Seen it. It was fantastic, but only two seasons... Rip Off.

@@craiglortie8483 Agree, a few actors I think got their start at Sense8.
I have fond memories of "The 4400" and "Sliders".
space: above and beyond also. earth 2 was ok.
Just one i have not seen. And i cant understand how they are underrated. Since i like them and everyone i know like them 😎🇧🇻

Counterpart was great and amazing dual acting roles by JK Simmons. Last episode took left turn plot wise.
What I've learned regarding tv series, if it's any good, it gets cancelled. If it's a pile of poop, it goes on and on. Mediocrity rules.
What happened to Firefly?
B5 is the best sci-fi TV show ever produced. It has a brilliant story arc and characters. JMS keeps hinting at something new,, but so far nothing.
Fringe was really great.
not realy new stuff for me. Most of the Spacesyfy and Timetraveler Seris i know.
The greatest of them all in my opinion is Babylon 5

How can somebody write a review on a series but not know how to say the main character's name?
Now way could you call Babylon 5 as underrated, it was the greatest series ever made
I'm sure Killljoys is much better than half of those.
