This was one trumpet I sold to a friend, then when he let it go I didn't have the money to buy it back. This was an EXCELLENT horn. Andy Taylor did an exquisite job on this model. Sadly, there aren't many around.
Steve; I've had a lot of horns, but this Taylor was really one of the finest I've had. They aren't cheap - but they are certainly nice players. :) Enjoy - and thanks for commenting.
if you had to choose between an adams a4 and a taylor Chicago ii what would you be more inclined to¿ I'm thinking on upgrading and wanted your thoughts on it, thanks for the video.
That’s a great (and tough) question. I’ve had 4 Adams models, but not the A4. I worry a bit about Adams quality control; they CAN put out a great product but they’ve had some early issues with redrot; huge bummer. This 46 Jazz by Taylor was phenomenal; I should never have sold it, but a friend wanted it and I let him have it. It was not nearly as heavy as some Taylor horns; weight would be my only concern with Taylor horns. I hope this helps - and good luck ! Share your decisions and horn info, please! :)
Already sold to a friend, but I agree: Gorgeous tone! an easy blow, good valves… What a great trumpet. Kudos to Andy Taylor, this was a masterpiece. Michael; Thanks for listening and commenting! :)
Nice review Jonathan, I’d love one of those

Looks so gorgeus..Taylor knows how to make trumpets..
It is a lovely looking horn, isn't it? I agree; Taylor produces eye candy! :)
The Chicago has a distinct sound, kinda Christmassy(not a word)😬! But in such a fantastic way. Puts you right there on a snowy Chicago street.
Jack; well said. :)
I like the super mellow Chet Baker sound
That was a great horn; the only Taylor I've ever had. Super horn.
I own a Taylor 46 Jazz, Paid alot for it, but it's special
