Dear Mr William Hearn, Thank you for this informative lecture. Here are my answers for the last sentences. 4 eclipse awed millions. 5 By force, the mosses and ferns reached Hawaii. 6 group decipts figures 7 The studies are complicated
Very good. Not perfect, but close enough to make passing your TOEFL with a higher score easier. To score 25+ on your TOEFL reading test, go to www.pgila.org and take my online course.
@@WilliamHearnTOEFL_Tutor Between listening and reading I think as students we should improve both of them, but working on reading is most important. I mean reading skill affect profoundly on two output skills (speaking and writing). Am I right sir?
@@mohammadrezahasanpuor3405 You are correct! In my experience, the Reading section has caused the most problems for TOEFL test takers. For one, most people think it's a regular test, and they waste time studying the subjects and, worse, they take the test as if it were a regular exam. IT IS NOT!! This is NOT a test of what you know or learn, it is a test of discipline under pressure. To pass the TOEFL Reading section with a score over 25, you must understand the structure, procedures and rules, and the psychology of the test. Furthermore, the Reading section sets the pace for the rest of the test. If you are confused and exhausted from the Reading section, the rest of the TOEFL will go badly. This includes the Speaking and Writing Sections.
I’d say the studies are complicated and whatever is after the word complicated is elaborating more on it. Thus, it's unimportant as long as your not asked abt it. Thanks tho for this phenomenal vid!
Thank you, but why wait? You can sign up for my course and talk to me every other Saturday. Just go to www.pgila.org/ and choose the option with the Live Q&A.

thank you for make a wonderful tutorial for us. I have a question if we found any sentences without comma's then how we can simplify them. for instance: "Small grains may be blown farther but they are also more prone to be whisked past the waiting stigma because smaller particles tend to stay trapped in the fast-moving air that flows around the stigma." I'm grateful to you in advance by giving your worthy suggestion.
Thank you for your question. The sentence you give is an excellent example of a tactic ETS uses on the TOEFL to overwhelm you, and cause you confusion and anxiety. Notice that the sentence is LONG, and the structure does not have punctuation? This is actually three (3) separate ideas in one sentence separated by the words "but" and "because." For this kind of sentence, it's best to break it into pieces and pay attention to only the part that is directly related to the question that is asked about it. NOW, if no question asks about the information in this sentence, DON'T READ IT at all. Learn more about how to read less and get a higher score in my other videos. Let me know how you do on your TOEFL.

VERY CLOSE! Awesome!! The word, "solar" describes the eclipse, so it too can be eliminated as well.

5. However, the mosses and the ferns reached Hawaii, survived, and multiplied.
The studies are complicated and the mechanism change from time to time.
Not exactly. Re-watch the video and try again.
6. Kings, and named members, there is another group from the non elite population.
Pretty good. Kings and named members is part of the Prepositional phrase at the beginning of the sentence, so remove them.
