- Installing the Mishimoto Performance Fan shroud kit, I am really impressed with how much air these move. (Order Here: amzn.to/2xsOTGW) You can hear them going crazy pulling a ton of air but when you put your hand behind it you really get an idea. Makes some cool noises too. The car temp stays really low now too even on hot days here in Arizona over 100 degrees.

Hallo Cameron, I also own a Z33. The standard radiators tend to start leaking along the edges where the aluminium and plastic meet at the top and bottom housings. I had a radiator shop rebuild mine at the top and bottom, replacing the plastic top and bottom with aluminium housing. They also special coated it black. It all cost half of what a mishimoto radiator cost. Also an common issue with these cars are, the temperature gauge will indicate fine up until the last moment. The temperature gauge will shoot up in an instant. Its temperatures are very hot here in South Africa. So it helps to check the Thermostat & fluids from time to time to be on the safe side.
yeh this happend to my radiator, so im replacing with the mishi, happend after 117k miles a 2004 Z, so i got the most out of the OEM radiator. I'm also doing the mishi fans at the same time.

From what I know that fan system makes everything twice as hot.! It does look fancy but the aluminum absorb the heat. And making it! Long to cool down! Transferring extra heat! And the plastic one don’t as much !

Nissan z more dependable than a Subaru wrx or sti. I installed a koyorad radiator on my 2006 sti which happens to be at the subie dealership for a pcm issue

I think the 3m tape goes in between the fan and radiator
correct so its a snug fit and no air gaps along the perimeter where the radiator and fan shroud meet. this creates a vacuum so the fans are more effective.

Nico Kelly Yes you can. I recommend upgrading your radiator too if you're going to upgrade you fan shroud.
