Followed this video almost step-by-step. I own an '08 Z so there are several more steps in order to remove the gauge cluster. If you use an add-a-fuse, I highly suggest using the open slot next to the 15amp Cigarette Lighter fuse (Powered when vehicle is "On"). Also, make sure the overlay is completely flat and center. After putting everything back together, I realized the center hole was off by a tiny bit, less than 1 millimeter. My RPM needle was incredibly choppy and overall just looked ugly as it struggled to move, along with my Speedo meter getting stuck at 35mph. It can seem completely lined up, but make sure NO PART of the needle is touching the overlay, including the tiny piece that hangs off the rear end of the needle (And yes, I made sure they rotated with no resistance before putting everything back together). I ended up having to take it apart about 3 times to adjust the adhesive by cutting under it with a razor blade and pulling on the overlay. Overall, just take your time and the turnout will look amazing

Kylethebat if you’re looking for something for a G there’s a guy on Facebook that sends full clusters in whatever color you want, it’s a bit pricey but from my understanding it’s plug and play
and easier way to apply the sticky is to just pull the backing off a little bit and then once you get it into place you can use the little bit that you pulled off to pull it all the way off and it might also help to slice the backing in half so you can pull off one half at a time
this is super helpful because I need to fix the odometer trip buttons that aren't working anymore but I also might pick up these gauge overlays thanks dude

All joke aside it not rice. Two it would be tacky if he did a cheap job or shitty colors but he said black so all he has to do is paint it right not half assed. Ppl use rice and dont even know how to use smh.

I was gonna get dude to do all the wire with blackcat custom shit... would have cost me legit 6 times the amount and have to send my cluster to Florida or some shit.... so this vid sold it for me... thanks bro

03-04 FairladyZ have the non-revup DE 05-06 got the Revup, then the 07-08/09 got the HR, im trading my 03FairladyZ in at the end of the year for a revup. the g35 or jdm Nissan skyline got the revup in 03 but only manuals.
Kevin I bought them anyways should have them in a few days here don’t understand why they wouldn’t work but I guess I’ll find out they are just overlays with power and ground I’ll find out and report back
@@Deemah.cr3 true but good thing we have a shift light :D everything else in the clusters are the same besides Rpm gauge so if your shift light is set at 7-7500 and you know your car shouldn't be a big deal to each their own just wasn't willing to pay $500 for a custom cluster. cheap overlays for 125 and the only issue is rpm is a bit off i could deal with that.
I bought 3 different types of add a fuse. Only one Fit for a 3A Fuse. Coincidentally, this also doesn’t fit for the 350z. There are no links in the description for this and it looks like the author is no longer responding. Can someone help?

CandidatesVoice bought this kit this morning and finished installation, following up for anyone else who was in the same position: it works perfect, you can strip each end of the red wires and use an insulated connector to attach them. I did the same thing for the middle gauges too, just connecting both into one wire... make sure you put the 3amp fuse on the B location (there is a diagram that comes with the kit) and the original fuse in the A location. I used the 4th fuse from the left on the bottom and used one of the screws on the clutch as the ground. If anyone is having the same problems with wiring reply to this comment and I can try to help

I installed my ADD W1 cluster gauges the other day and need to install the oil/volt...soon. What is that fuse location for, ignition? I was going to install/wire up to parking lights, but may try your way first. Just need details on that location for the fuse.

Pretty sure they sell the 07-08 gauges separately on the website, maybe there's slight differences in the gauge clusters?

xG Mike xG redline in a DE is 6500. 7k in a revup and 7500 in an HR. Your RPM gauge will be way off lol

03-06 did work rpm is not the same since hr revs to 7500 but they are making a new rpm overlay for 07-08 addw1 said they are about 4-6weeks out
