I have a few R41s (GS / Twist / Standard / Pre 2011). I love them. IMO the Karve Christopher Bradley OC-D plate is on par with the GS and the SB-F plate is more aggressive.
Hello Jason. I have the Karve D plate, but SB, not OC. But I would think that it would be pretty similar, yes. I wish that I had the twist myself. Well, I'll have to get myself an OC D plate now 😀
@@JimWillShavewould you like to borrow the Twist to give it a try? If you fancy it I'll include the other "ingredients" to make up one of my "go to" shaves when I just want a close, comfortable and fuss free shave and you could do a video to see if it works as well for you as it does for me... Let me know..
Hiya Jim, Hope your well. I have just bought the black handle r41 from Exec shaving cos they are doing 20% off all Muhle gear, 30 Quid bargain. Strangely i have never used Arko soap, shall have to get myself some. Take it easy 👍
Arko is a love or hate it scent but cannot deny the performance, especially considering the price. I prefer the sister Turkish soap, Derby it has a milder scent and it performs virtually the same, I used Derby for many years before getting into Artisan soaps. The R41 is too aggressive for my baby face😜 I actually like floppy brushes as they suit my painting style, each their own though. Great traveling shave in a another tiny bathroom Jim🤟🤠🤟
An R41 in 130 grams?! What a beast!!
Arko is a true classic. One of the first soaps I've ever used. Have to revisit that.
Safe travels Jim!
It's a chunk of a razor Jo
Woow....the Mhule R41 is one the most agressive razors in the Universe
It certainly is, yes. But, after a few uses it's easily tamed
Great shave Jim, love the R41
Thank you Scott
Very nice shave Jim! Have a great Sunday!
Many thanks brother
Nice shave Jim 😎 Be well and safe travels 🙏
Thank you Mark
18:37 Ouch!! 😂😅

Great travelling budget shave, enjoy your lunch 🥪
Thank you Garry

Congratulations on your R41 for £30. Arko is definitely worth a punt, yes.
It's so affordable. Go for it
