Apart from these things the characterization is well handled. The cinematography and the lighting is enjoyable. The costumes and the use of jewellery takes the audience to the time. Sure there will be orders pouring into many jewellery shops atleast in Tamilnadu. All the characters are well portrayed by the seasoned artists of our film industry. அறுபத்து ஆண்டுகட்கு முன் படித்த கதை.என் மாமா பொறுமையாக கல்கி புத்தகத்திலிருந்து இந்த பொன்னியின் செல்வன் மட்டும் தனியாக எடுத்து சேர்த்து அழகாக பைண்டிங் பண்ணி ஐந்து பெரிய புத்தகமாக வைத்திருந்த தார்கள். அவை இடையில் படித்தால் படிப்பு கேட்டு விடும் என்பதற்காக முழு ஆண்டு தேர்வு முடிந்தவன் கிடைக்கும் விடுமுறையில் அதை படிக்க அனுமதித்தார்கள் அதை விடாமல் உட்கார்ந்து வேறு எந்த வேலையும் பார்க்காமல் தொடர்ந்து படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். புத்தகத்தை கீழே வைக்க மனசு வராது. இப்படி ஒரு அருமையான புத்தகம் அருமையான நாவல் அருமையான வரலாறு வராது..
