I see a lot of African-Americans with a victim mindset, blaming the system for the fact a lot of them are poor. Is this same mindset also normal in Africa, perhaps some countries more then others? In the end of the day it's all about putting in the work today and tomorrow. Not about complaining about world history.

I’m with my American sista on this one. Just because slavery ended doesn’t mean it got better. Everything was a constant fight for them after that leading up to modern day. But I do agree African Americans needs to stop talking mad about Africa. Trust and believe shit has never been rosy for African American. So don’t put a blanket label of lazy on African Americans. Also African Americans, Caribbean blacks and Latin America blacks across the globe has yet to get an apology for been sold.

Everybody was a victim and a potential prey to become a slave. My grandfather narrowly escaped slave raiders in his own farm. So why are we always misinterpreting the truth of what actually happened? Individual Africans sold Africans into slavery is an absolute lie and stop reading history that was written by the Oppressors and Enslavers. Why don't you make proper research if possible go on oral information from the continent itself if you wish to know the truth. Please stop blaming Africans for the Trans Atlantic slave trade for selling slaves, that's just an indoctrination account by the Enslavers to keep dividing the Black race.

It's very true that Afrikans have a distorted understanding of the black American struggles with white supremacy.

Her passion is based on the work African Americans have done in fighting for civil rights, which is 100% respectable. I haven't heard of one African how looks down or doesn't give that its due respect. But she's lost her god damned mind if she thinks Africans will take disrespect for expressing our point of view.
We all have our own crosses to carry. African Americans have had to fight for their rights, a fact that has nothing to do with Africans. In our history Africans have also had to fight for our freedom, and in some places the fight is still on going. Economically successful Africans in all the corners of the globe have had to pay the price of any ounce of success they have. Nobody is doing us any favors. Nobody is helping us with our bills, and we will not kiss anybody's ass.
