At 72 I have been kicking around the Whites since I was 5 years old. I even went to college at Plymouth State just south of Franconia Notch and still live nearby. The views never get old!🥾⛷
For my money the White Mountains are the most scenic part of New England. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I can always travel vicariously with you while I plan our next adventure.
Beautiful video of the views and your food review of Mad River Taverns has made us realize you do so well at hiking and food reviews! Glad you had a clear day we were at Mt Washington in September 2017 but didn’t get to summit due to fog. It was fun seeing your rendition of a gorgeous trip!!
Thank you Randy for another absolutely beautiful adventure. I'm not sure if the sweet dog in the video was yours or not but he seems like a wonderful hiking companion. Your videos are always a blessing to many, many people.... Robin 🙏
Thanks, Robin! Yes, a lot of people in the NE hike with their dogs. Most are unleashed. Ran into quite a few on the trails. Have a blessed week, brother!
That Golden was mine. And she hikes year round and all across the USA where permitted. She's our 5th Golden over the years and she is a sweet heart as most thouobred Goldens are. White Mountain Dog laws are on leash or verbal control. She also has a Doggie door at home with 3 1/2 acres in the woods to live. Pet Safe electrc fence keeps here in the 3 1/2 acres. Live Free or Die here.
@@jimbobxcityguy5338 Thank you Jim Bob for a wonderful reply. Golden Retrievers are such beautiful and amazing companions. She and your family are Blessed to have each other. You are giving her such a lovely life. It would be great to see a video of her and you hiking. She should have her own channel. I wish you all the Best !!!... Robin 🙂
@@jimbobxcityguy5338 I agree Jim, the death of a family pet is a huge loss. Their unconditional Love and Loyalty is truly amazing. I always want to believe that our pets will be waiting for us on "Rainbow Bridge" when it's our time to leave this world.
Would love to do a hike in the White Mountains during peak season all those beautiful colors! That drone footage looked really good love all the reds that pop on the mountain! Glad that security guard showed up for you sleeping in a car sucks 😂
was an interesting start hahaha/ glad you got to your site eventually/ Awesome views and looks like a really fun hike, beautiful time of year for the White Mountains thanks for taking us with you
I'm glad you were able to get into the campground. I know the van would be fine, but like you said, with everything else in there, I am sure it wasn't ideal. Ha! Still ended up in the van, lol. Looks like you made a new friend! Loving all the pops of color in the area.
Hello America's Parks😊😊😊🍔🍔🍔🍰🍰🍰🍟🍟🍟🍕🍕🍕🍕, Randy this was magnificent!! The views where just amazing. I love the White Mountain National Forest and it's peaks. I have been waiting to see this video. The next time I'm there I'm going to have dinner at that tavern. I have drivin to the top of Mt. Washington and also did the cog Railway. Check it out Randy...ohhh I can't forget...The Rainbow Bridge, National Monument😄😄😄. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!!
Thumps UP! What a great day for hiking. Like how you review and rate the trail / hiking experience. That burger looks juicy and delicious. Hoping to check it out one day.
Love those fall colors! Nice to see you out enjoying a new area for you. Solo trip? Hahaha more camping issues! Fall is my favorite time of year. Especially when my team is playing in the NLCS
@@AmericasParks Hope all is well bud. Figured is been busy for ya. Looking forward to seeing your comments on all my new clips. Whatever is occupying your time, you got it.
This is high on our list. So gorgeous and looks like you picked a great time of year. And ditto on campgrounds - usually they are much more accommodating. We tend to call ahead too if we plan to be late, but sometimes we’ve had no reception and it’s never been an issue.
@@AmericasParks oh wow you strung together a lot. We’ve done Katahdin (obviously 😁) and Acadia as well. Acadia is one of our favorite parks. Will have to check out the Green mountains one day too
Yeah that was pretty rough in the beginning not being able to get into your camp site. Wow will you look at those fall colors! You just came at the right time to do this hike obviously! Yeah those mountains do sound kinda small compared to what we have out here in the West but still I'm sure still challenging and fun none the less! Thanks for sharing your adventure brother.
Glad that gentleman came and rescued you from the parking lot :) The early fall colors are just stunning. We are very eager to explore that area. There is just something that draws my heart to the Northeast
Hi Randy! And just another great video from my favorite Nat'l Park TH-camr. Although I have only been to the White Mountains once in the Autumn, I must say you captured it's essence! I have been invited to the Vegas area for the Thanksgiving week & will finally get a chance to go to Death Valley (& perhaps Red Rock Canyon). As I will probably be doing Death Valley on a one day excursion, any input would be appreciated. Thanks, as per usual.
Appreciate the encouraging words, Robert! Have a great time in Death Valley - under-appreciated for its unique natural beauty. Hit as many of the stops noted on the park brochure. One day should be enough. Don't miss badwater basin. Try to catch a sunset from one of the higher viewpoints. Not sure if you caught my video from 2017 - all these places are highlighted. th-cam.com/video/pV3mFKR0pH8/w-d-xo.html
I even don't know how to speak English very well, I'm learning, my name is Alex, I'm an autistic guy from venezuela, my dream is know every America's national park and show it them to the world in my language, basically something similar to you but under my perspective, thank you so much for your videos bro, they're a window to the dreams of a lot of persons... Like me, you gave me hope.
Security coming to the rescue in the beginning. I noticed this happened to me in Florida. I had to go get a hotel on the fly. It all worked out but still. I hope next I take some more October hikes to get those beautiful fall color leaves in these state parks.
For starters, I try to be aware of the possible risks. In most cases the only potential dangers are grizzly bears and big cats. In the few places where these bears roam, bear spray is a wise idea. As for the cats, encounters are very rare, especially when traveling in groups.

Really encouraged to hear that, Maria!

Great to hear, brother! I kind of preferred the "Whites" overs the "Greens" - to me, just a little more spectacular and rugged.

Thanks again! Yeah, the video didn't do that granite incline justice!
So good! Here in Connecticut our autumn colors are starting to peak!
The area is so beautiful in the fall! Good colors when I was up there a few weeks ago, possibly a week before peak.
