I have a friend that was severely hard of hearing BUT he could mostly hear with the LOUDEST hearing aids and it was natural-ish sounding. He was talked into a cochlear implant… they literally disconnect your ear and connect electrical stuffs in a plate in your head. He regrets it. Before, if his hearing aids were out and he was sleeping, a fire alarm could wake up. Now, when he is sleeping and the implant is disconnected, he hears nothing but a high pitched whine. Before, it was peace and quiet as long as it was just low ambient noise, he heard nothing. Also before he could hear nearly the full spectrum of sounds, just thru a hearing aid, now it’s super processed, and is barely audible, he can barely understand people. Most of the time you have to write things on paper. He’s in his early 50’s and he willingly did this to himself. I have another friend that talked his doctor into weigh loss surgery, gastric bypass, I believe they cut a part of your digestive tract out. He has been left with problems. He wasn’t even that heavy, he was just too lazy to exercise. I won’t even do eye surgery to correct my vision so long as glasses will work. The only reason I would choose surgery is if it was necessary to survive.

@@facelessandnameless lasik also has possible complications and should you have a complication it’s your EYES maaan lol for real. At least without your ears you can still drive, and function for the most part… I consider laser eye surgery or ANY elective EYE surgery to be the biggest smooth brain decision. Why risk your EYES man? Even without hearing you can see your family smile, you can cook for yourself, you can go shopping. If you mess up your eyes because you were so vain and didn’t want to put on some glasses that is the smooth brain move of a lifetime.

I was one of the government workers (DoD) back in 2020. I asked my boss about the vaccine when Medical showed up to our facility to give us some shots. She told me i COULDNT get infected or transmit the disease if i were to be vaccinated. This was while there were rumblings about the Covid shot not being as effective as some may say. I was able to get a religious exemption signed by the CO of the base but i fought HARD. I was one of maybe 3 people in my command that didnt get it and EVERYONE knew 😂🙄. With that being said, after everything that has happened over the past couple years, i feel that it would be insane to get one of these implanted in ones brain if you are 100% "able-bodied"!

So after having two brain surgeries and the second one left me with epilepsy, I can say this... Not real comparable to being permanently disabled, but I lost my ability to speak, stand, or use my right side for almost a month. It also happens for about five minutes after each seizure (about every two weeks). As someone who has (somewhat) felt what it feels like being disabled, and also had my brain operated on..I would NEVER open up my head unnecessarily. Especially to implant some dangerous device.

I admit this is far out, but there will be some who use these hypothetical future study findings: "..reduced traffic accidents..," "reduction in aggressive behaviors at the workplace," "Improvement in controlling impulsivity-leading to (insert good thing)," "Decrease in racial prejudice," etc.. to determine that only a bad person would not want to receive this "safe and effective" operation. Well.. I am not advocating one perspective or another BUT.. I imagine one way to see if this is a good or bad idea is to go Into the history of the AI tech and security of the tesla coding/software etc. How often have Teslas been hacked? And if/when the were how did tesla respond. Were the weak points fixed? I'd say all the work at tesla is a sort of pre-requisite to neurolink. From controlling/managing a car that will have human lives inside of it to establishment of an operating system for overcoming human limitations. I'm betting g shits gonna go wrong but if they are ready and responsive? In time this could change the world. BUT... it must be the most secure damn thing ever. As it is however the human mind is easily manipulated and controlled. We don5 need no damn brain chip tech to achieve that (unless a rush job is needed lol)
