Join Laura and me as we solve Exit the Game: The Sunken Treasure, one of the older titles in the long-running Exit series. In this video we open the box and solve it from start to finish, so there are spoilers throughout. I bought this from Amazon, so any opinions expressed are all our own. 😁 We recorded this a few months ago, as of the date of posting, so please pardon the reference to it being spring! :)
This video is part of a series in which each week we solve a different escape room box - not just other Exit the Game boxes but also Unlock, Escape Room The Game and many others - so please do subscribe to the channel if you would like to join us on this fun adventure!
Do also comment below - we'd love to know what you think of the video, and whether you solved the puzzles faster than we did! If you've tried the game itself, what did you think of it? And if you enjoy this kind of thing, do check out these other playlists of my/our various escape-room puzzle solves:

Its been a long summer without the entertainment of you two solving puzzles, so glad you both back together to bring us joy and smiles 🎉😊
Yyyaaaayyy! Thanks for (re-)joining us!!!
It's a pleasure to see you both again, I love your closeness and your joie de vivre.
This Exit isn't one of my favourites, but it has some nice puzzles. I can't wait until December to see you -destroying- playing a new EXIT calendar.
Thanks so much for watching, and I’m really glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I thought this one had some good banter in when I watched it back. :) :) :) And haha, yes “destroying” is pretty accurate - for most Exit stuff, really, but especially the calendars. :) I’m looking forward to the calendar too.
Yayyyy thanks for tuning in! It's great to be back :)
You guys are doing escape puzzles again! Awesome!
The Sunken Treasure was actually my first Exit.
I saw the 8 sideways and thought it was a fish, haha
Ah that was a good first Exit game then, I imagine, since it’s a fairly smooth experience. We usually get stuck on one or two puzzles in each box, but this one we just sailed on through. :) Maybe we were just lucky though!
Woohoo! It's good to be back! I really enjoyed this one - I agree it would make a great first solve!
It's about bloody time you posted a video😂😂😂😂😂.
So glad you guys have released a video as I do enjoy watching you both solve these.
This is also the first one I've watch you complete after I've completed it...
Haha, you're right! This one was recorded a few months ago but I just haven't had time to edit it - although it turned out that this one didn't need much editing since it was a straightforward solve for us. This year has been an incredibly busy one for us as authors, so it's good to have time to get back to doing videos again at last! :) How did you get on when you solved it yourself?
My daughter(15)and I always do escape room puzzles together.
It did take us a little longer than you guys.Ive been buying a few different kinds of escape room games, and my favourite is unlock! at the moment...
My plan this year is to buy the 2024 exit advent calender and solve them every day before I watch your videos, that's if you plan to do it the year.
Haha! You're not wrong 🤣 it's good to be back!
Great to see the two of you again! ET scared me as a child as well - the screaming in the woods at the start terrified me. I still won’t watch that scene 😂
I’ve not seen it since I was a kid and after watching this video back I began to hope I hadn’t imagined it and that this childhood memory was actually accurate! :) I’m glad you confirmed! :)
Still, I might brave rewatching it. It’s on Sky Cinema at the moment. :)
@@drgareth good for you! Maybe I will too
@@antonella_1221 It can't be as scary as I remember. Right? :)
Guys none of this is encouraging me to watch it as an adult 😅
🎉 yeaaah sooo happy to see you both 😊.
Thank you!!! And thank you so much for watching! More videos coming soon! :)
Hello! Been a while now. Happy to see you back.
Hiya! Thank you! Very happy to be back too! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Woohoo! Thanks for joining us!
I’ve been missing you so much ❤
Oh, bless you! We’ve missed posting videos too! We’ve been busy writing almost a dozen puzzle books that go on sale this autumn/winter, and then latterly on holiday, but we plan to post videos every week again now. Thanks so much for commenting and watching! :)
We've missed solving! Thank you for joining us!!
44:44 If the purple had not been fixed on the paper, then red could have gone next to blue on the left. (if you had blue left of yellow as the instructions said).
The clues (51:58 after the confusion has settled) describes three pairs, then the note about red not being next to blue means red-green must be on the right side of the purple-white.
It does make sense.
@@57thorns That's an interesting observation that the extra clue would be useful if the purple wasn't given - but it is. It seems odd, but I think you must be correct. Also I really struggle to interpret "immediately to the right next to" to mean "immediately to the right of", which I do now see is what it is intended to mean - so thanks for commenting. Is that some kind of idiomatic US usage, or is it just badly translated? To me it's nonsense. The "next to" has to be interpreted as duplicating the meaning of "immediately to", but that's bizarre so it's natural to assume they must have different meanings - at which point it becomes ambiguous since what is it immediately next to? I made sense of this badly written text by assuming they had different meanings and so the second sentence is saying that blue lies immediately to the left of the previous stone, and also next to yellow. I'm surprised this card has never been fixed in reprintings, since there's no need whatsoever for it to be ambiguous.
@@drgareth I have no idea, English is my second language. I was looking also at the layout, with the paragraphs spaced apart.
Still, if _someone_ (without malicious intent) can misinterpet a message the text need to be revised.
@@57thorns Can confirm we didn't have malicious intent!! 🤣 and I feel like we're pretty tuned in to looking for clues in grammatical irregularity/nuance (where a very particular phrase is designed to point you in a specific direction) so I think perhaps we were more thrown off by this than usual. Still a great grame tho - thanks for watching!!
now i suggest you make a video of the catacombs of horror
I'm not going to answer for the doctor, but I think I read somewhere that he'd already played it and, for some obscure reason, didn't like it. 🙁
@@MrNumber112 and do you know any other youtube users who could have solved it perfectly?
Funnily enough we recorded this two or three months ago, so it is definitely coming! :) We did it in two parts, as the game itself is split into two parts too. And yes, I looked at it back when it first came out and didn’t like it because of some of its graphics. (Actually, it’s not that bad on reflection - I guess I just don’t like skulls! :) )
Taking your breath away while wreck diving does not sound like a good thing.
Haha - yes! Although I’m not sure the scenario makes any sense at all, even on its own terms. :)
