This is all reclaimed cedar, collected over years from job sites. We wanted to maximize the width of each board and use up all the cut offs as splines. When you mill a tongue, you loose a little visible width on each board, which adds up. Basically this was an extremely efficient way to use all the cedar we had on hand without having to purchase anything.

Did you think about using a chalk line for your screws that are exposed? That is also made into the easier job. But I never tried to make a good video
