Valorant GAME latency and CPU latency fix?!

- I have had WarOwl type timing here .... As soon as I uploaded NVIDIA decides to fix this after 6 literal updates and launches the same day of my upload... So the fix is update to the latest driver released on the 9 Jan... i.e. v461.09 (game ready drivers)

sometime i feel my fire key not working but at the same time game latency graph goes more higher it means it is working properly
It might be that it stutters or freezes when u fire... Happens often with slower ram/ cpu

Sorry for the late reply. I do agree with your statement and yes that is true I get 5.6 to 7 ms now since I changed my processor and upped my ram. The reason why I said 23 ms is because 23 ms is not good for what my fps was. And it doesn't appear in recording but it was stuttering alot when the driver update was released it changed to like 12 ms and it fixed the stuttering outright.

Reinstall the older version of graphics drivers if it worked in the previous version
I have an Intel i3 9100F with a GTX 1050 TI i play in 144Hz monitor very well, the big thing of this is when I try to play the third game in valorant I see much lag and I see that I got high game latency so it's very strange because is not a bad CPU usually I play this game on my I3 9100F up to 144 fps but now I can't play because I have 29 game latency.
I mean there must have been stuff running on ur pc that may be causing high cpu usage ... The windows antimalware service may be buggy... U could have too much high disk usage ... U may have non dual channel ram... There may be a lot of possibilities... I have the same processor but a 1650 (gddr5) but i got avg 200 until vanguard just wanted me to reset my pc to play again... Counter check all of the problems told above (most of them can just be cleared out in task manager by sorting to cpu usage)

@@ECS1190 depends on amd it can by so much on intel ye it did a decent amount for me also depends on how much programmes do u run in the background
I'm having same issue but mine values are around 8 , my guess is your GPU core clock and frequency is not in sync with GPU or maybe bottleneck issue .
I mean the reflex on+boost will keep the core clocks up right but also the driver update fixed it as I said in the description
... In a game like valorant there will always be a CPU bottleneck though unless u have integrated graphics or really weak graphics card ... Just because the game is meant to be CPU heavy just like csgo...
@@Fragoneryes maybe but still latency is high maybe because your GPU is not in sync with cpu disclose your GPU and cpu model 😉😉.

Latency was a driver issue as I told in description nvidia fixed it... Also I upgraded my ram from 8 gb to 16 gb dual channel that helped with the graphs and the latency a bit too...

hey, i have rtx 3050 and ryzen 5 5600x with b550 ofc 500gb ssd, but my game latency is infinity(13 digits ms) and render latency is 1.1 ms, have tried formating my PC like 3 times didnt work, before formating my game latency was working fine 2.6ms all of a sudden its high for no reason, fps is high as always 500+.
by formatting u mean deleting the partitions on ur ssd and fresh installing windows right? if that is the case update the drivers on ur gpu and try again (how does the latency feel tho if it feels normal it is just not accurate and u can ignore the graphs afterall they are just meant to be debugging tools sort of)
@@Fragoneryes yes, i installed fresh windows and did update my GPU drivers, no input lag yes it feels normal but when I die in valorant I feel a delayed
@@aravindanholy4242 in that case of stuttering it might as well be the power profile ur cpu is running at, or perhaps the bios version even... that unusual stuttering used to happen in gta V on my laptop and a bios update fixed it. Though it can be caused by many things yk these ones are the most obvious

I believe 60 fps with least least Input lag like when its smooth and most responsive is enough to enjoy the game and it will feel way more competitive and good to play but things don't happen like this and the game feels shit idk what's the reason but yes for me its so bad experience i play at 5 ms ping feels like i am lagging so weird lag like my game isnt running on my pc instead i am playing it remotely it feels worse and limited
Well cloud gaming isn't the best for competitive titles anyways it is not a realtime render from your pc its a video stream of a render from another pc in case of cloud gaming and its delay depends mostly on connection and location so there is only so much you can do.

Latest doesn't mean the best... A more specific set like mine is i3-9100f and 1650 (ddr5) with 16gb (8x2) ddr4 2666mhz ... Something like that would be much more easy to work with

I did not get a reply from him... If ur asking in my case yes... See description... Nvidia released better drivers for it to work properly... And its decent like 8 to 12 ms (game to render total) which for i3 9100f is decent enough

@@lankatube9769 get another stick for the same 8gb module and it will help... Put them in dual channel ... 8gb ram is really not enough also... Did u debloat windows? If not watch my guide on it... When u do so see if the problem persists... And also did u turn all the knobs to best performance in nvidia control panel... Just follow possibly my 3 guides on windows and debloating and valorant game if needed... And tell me if the problem persists

set ur laptop to high performance mode in power settings and make sure to do this - display settings > graphics settings > browse button (select the valorant win 64 shipping if u dont see the app, and when u select it) set it to high performance mode (Ur dedicated GPU)

Its a cloud saved setting, you have to get a support ticket to get your account settings reset, also try pressing alt+r maybe its the nvidia overlay.
you can cheak battlenonsense less input delay video. he also said capped fps is much better
Capped framerate gives you visible tearing on monitors upto 90hz...
I recommend capping your framerate 25 above your max framerate in game on uncapped (250 for me) 131min 190avg 225 max

Well there is only so much you can do really ... U can just free your cpu to give its most to the game but u cant carry 150L water in a bucket can u?

i reinstalled window like 2 times nothing changes i get 50ms latency and if i minimize game my latency goes up to 120ms and i've to restart my game mid game

Alrighty so firstly don't keep any antivirus except for windows defender (I don't even keep that cuz I know what I'm doing and clicking on internet) and there u go half problem solved and just keep in mind that no other cpu hungry app is running in background (chrome, youtube, counts too)... And also check ur task manager and sort by cpu usage to know what eats ur performance the most

Well if u use ur laptop primarily for gaming I would recommend just outright switching ur windows to like custom versions like ghost spectre windows 10/11...
Since this one is a tricky bug to fix and can occur due to anything even the antimalware service (windows defender) or like vgc (vanguard bugging out) ur laptops control software (most gaming laptops have this thing) it can be anything... So rather than trying to find which specific thing caused it... U can just install a fresh copy of ghost spectre mod of windows 11 (I personally use it 10/10 recommended) and just not worry about any hassle because it will help u in the longer run
Bro my game latency render latency spike to like infinity. Lenovo legion 5 ryzen 5 4600h n GTX 1650.
It either is ur background apps taking cpu usage (open task manager to check) And most probably it is just your laptop thermal throttling... Which is quite common with laptops... For fixing that you can't really do much just ensure the airflow is ample....
@@Fragoneryes Bro I bought this laptop like 2 weeks ago is this a hardware issue? Game Latency ,Render Latency and Game to render latency all three of them keep spiking .
It is not like a major issue ... It is like a major limitation with buying laptops as a whole... U can't really change anything about it ... If u r not a madman and eat ur warranty by disassembling ur laptop... Else, there is no real solution. Maybe the bloatware removal and windows defender disabling is... But I won't recomend that to a casual user...

Two reasons - either thermal throttling (check temps) or background applications (check task manager immediately)

Does caping fps reduce fps drops?, And also when i cap fps my game latency is higher than while it's on unlimited
If u cap below ur max fps it is higher but stable... I recommend capping it 25 above ur max for best results ...
Tho these all depend on ur pc especially laptops which tend to throttle then, capping below max is recommended to make it more stable and not have major drops

@@pranav_11. ok so i was searching about you doubt sorry it took a lot of time... (Because youtube did not give me a notif for comment) and I found out ... Yes capping the framerate will give u consistency for running a game for a long time.... For a thermal constrained build... Like a laptop.... Which has bad cooling.. so what u can do is either lift up ur laptop using something like a remote so it gets proper airflow... (Clean up its fans if its more than 6 months old) and high latency depends on a lot of things ... (Also fps) and it depends on refresh rate of your monitor too... So if u have like a 60 hz display.. and u get like 70 fps with dips to 30-40 CAP IT... if u cet consistently above 60 ... Do not cap it to 60... Cap it 10 fps above ur max... That is if u have a 60hz panel (considering u have a laptop that is most likely)

Its under the video settings there will be a tab named stats
Also if you don't have nvidia then you have to file a support ticket to get it removed as it is a cloud based setting.
