I love how Monika was so jealous of others liking the player that it blinded her, and she tore apart her friends' lives and outright destroyed the game just because she can. Of course, it is still a bit sad that players cannot really interact with her much. Was she too busy planning ahead for the club? edit: Love your art. :D
From my understanding it's not just about jealousy, the interesting thing about Monika to me is that she's not really necessarily a bad or evil person. Monika was at one point in time just a normal every day person but because of her position as the president of the Literature Club she gained something that nobody else until Sayori at the end did, she gained the ability to see beyond her own reality and gained a sort of self awareness about everything around her. She essentially gained a similar perspective of her reality as a player looking in would, expect she unfortunately was a part of that reality. So to her the people around her that she once saw as her friends now didn't seem like people with their own free will but as fictional beings who only existed to fulfill a role and to act a predetermined way. Essentially she started to see everything and everyone around her the same way a player would: "It's just a game, it's not real.". From the way Monika described it, for her being stuck in the game especially when the player closes the game it's like she's stuck in a dark void and she's the only one aware of it. Her only ray of hope is the player beyond her world, Monika honestly doesn't care about the MC since she already knows he only exists as a window for the player. It's really no surprise Monika did what she did given her circumstances, heck when Sayori took over Monika's position she also gained her self awareness and from the way the background was changing it seemed like Sayori was going down the same path Monika did but didn't get the chance to since Monika stopped her and ended the game before Sayori did anything.
I like how Yuri and Natsuki start sweating when Sayori gets deleted, they are scarred of Monika and don’t want to offend her because they know they could be next.
Everyone noticed how Monika was only okay with Sayori, but I laughed when she deleted Sayori and Yuri and Natsuki just kept dancing like nothing happened.

I really2 missed Monika cuz when she said in the game that she's practicing piano for the MC I was like "WHATTTT" and then the end credit was so sad, she's singing a song for the MC that's amazing game I've ever played before, I thought when I delete Monika file is a good idea but NO I just MESSED UP
Now that i think about it, natsuki really had a hard time in phase 2, she knew monika is all different and shit and she was worried about yuri and the player, she even tried to tell the player through a secret poem but monika knew, despite yuri knowing that monika is an almost omnipotent being she didnt cared and got herself killed, if natsuki being worried about yuri wasnt enough she saw her dead corpse, and got deleted immediately after Man i feel bad for her
I just hope people realize that Monika isn't evil nor necessarily a bad person. Monika gained self awareness and became of it started seeing the world around her the same way the player would, expect unlike the player she has to choice but to exists in that reality. Everyone she once saw as a friend now just seemed like fictional characters with no will or agency of their own. When the player closes the game all she sees is a dark void, the only thing that's real in her reality is the player behind the MC. People like to portray Monika as a sadistic person who enjoys screwing with her friends but that's not really the case. Heck when Sayori took over for Monika for a moment it seemed like she was going to do the same thing Monika did and more than likely would have if Monika didn't stop her and ended the game there. If someone as sweet and considerate as Sayori could go down that path then in theory all the other girls could have ended up the same as Monika and the only reason that they DIDN'T was because Monika didn't wish what she suffered through on anyone else and made the choice to end the game.

Now that i think about it, natsuki really had a hard time in phase 2, she knew monika is all different and shit and she was worried about yuri and the player, she even tried to tell the player through a secret poem but monika knew, despite yuri knowing that monika is an almost omnipotent being she didnt cared and got herself killed, if natsuki being worried about yuri wasnt enough she saw her dead corpse, and got deleted immediately after

Same they both deserved better and after you bring everyone back sayori turns evil and they have to get deleted and come back TWICE
I just hope people realize that Monika isn't evil nor necessarily a bad person. Monika gained self awareness and became of it started seeing the world around her the same way the player would, expect unlike the player she has to choice but to exists in that reality. Everyone she once saw as a friend now just seemed like fictional characters with no will or agency of their own. When the player closes the game all she sees is a dark void, the only thing that's real in her reality is the player behind the MC. People like to portray Monika as a sadistic person who enjoys screwing with her friends but that's not really the case.
Heck when Sayori took over for Monika for a moment it seemed like she was going to do the same thing Monika did and more than likely would have if Monika didn't stop her and ended the game there. If someone as sweet and considerate as Sayori could go down that path then in theory all the other girls could have ended up the same as Monika and the only reason that they DIDN'T was because Monika didn't wish what she suffered through on anyone else and made the choice to end the game.
