**In no way is the video intended to be disrespectful to the good people of the Philippines. If anything, it shows a resilient society with very talented skillset in machinery and service sectors. It is regrettable perhaps that the product of these efforts, ultimately as it is shown here, is focused around an industry meant to harm and kill. This channel is about getting to the truth. We applaud NHK World and we respect the views of those on the channel. Thank you and God bless. Management, gmshadowtraders.**

It's a crying shame that such talented machinists are forced into crafts on the wrong side of the law. The Philippine government should be finding ways for these men to get the proper certification to become legitimate machinists/technicians in trades that need them.

Those that are exported comes from armscore a certified factory. But there are back yard made pistols that make it into ships that is sold in the U.S. the quality is not as good. after about 800-1000 rounds either you'll have a cracked frame or start incurring major malfunction. Ship captains pick these up for around 200$ turn around and sells them black market value 500$-700$.

copy those chinese .45 acp broomhandle
"mauser" c 96 pistols in stainless steel not the typical carbon steel cause the design are an amalgam of several designs so copyrights wouldn't be a problem ..and maybe make them use standard 1911 magazines or just a fixed magazine like the original mauser .. . rural American people would buy those like hotcakes in America lots of Americans

A lot of these guns are fired less than 100 rounds in its life span, mainly used for assasinations and protection. Training? They dont need em' from point blank range, and here in the philippines owning a gun is a pain in the ass, tons of paperworks, taxes are high, hard to sell used and if you fail to renew it'll be counted as loose firearm and you'll be charged, i'd rather have this $100-300 worth of crap than $1500 total cost of having a legal one not to mention the waste of time.

Buying knife is legal because you can use that in different way.. buying illegal gun even your going to use it for self defense It's still illegal.. can you drive your car without license ? Answer is yes.. but If the cop caught you driving your car without license what do think are they going to do? Just like bringing your gun without license is also illegal..
