@@priscooper7166 What Really makes me angry is in season 11 how the writers have Elizabeth downing Lucas so much to Rosemary yet he hasn't said not one cross word about her to anybody. Although there's probably plenty that Lucas could complain about concerning Elizabeth, he hasn't said anything to attack her character. The man legit gives his blessing, so to speak, for her to pursue a relationship with Nathan. I just don't understand why they made her so selfish and self-absorbed and expects TL fans to feel the same way about her 🤷🏾♀️

@@ralur4287 I totally agree. That's the reason the producers decided to kill Jack after Daniel left the show. Elizabeth's love for a mountie is done. She still cares about Nathan but she is not in love with him. It's only one mountie who she loves, and he is Jack. The producers then created a new character that is opposite to Jack. He then becomes Elizabeth's choice for her future life. All these changes get approved by the author, Janette Oke.

Indeed. Lucas’ story is more interesting to watch. He is rich yet his background is different than Elizabeth's. There would be lots of stories to tell if he and Elizabeth got married.
Even though the story is set in the early 1900's, the charming and subtle 'coquetry' applied in the conversation works for both parties. But not only in the early 1900's; It even does so today. The script- and screen writers have done a magnificent job. Not only for this scene, but consistently throughout the entire production of the series, from day 1, in 2014, until season 9, in 2022.
I agree. I too watched this series from season 1. From the beginning until season 9 the writers never lose their grip. I love the producers added poetic to Lucas’ character. His quotes are meaningful and beautiful. He made me love to read poems and quotes. The producers, the writers, the directors, and the cast did an amazing job. That’s one of the reasons this show lasts longer.

Right. Some fans said he doesn't fit for Elizabeth because he has a bad history and he was a gambler. Well, Lucas has changed. He helped many people in Hope Valley. Being kind and helping people are not his duty. They came from his heart and he will keep doing it. He knows Elizabeth cares about those who need and so does he.

What happened to the Mountie?? I stopped watching around season 2 due to the wardrobe not being fully correct (I know, petty, but wardrobe/costume era accuracy is important to me:)
She married Jack in season 5. Unfortunately, he died while he was sent away for the assignment. I think the wardrobe is quite accurate. The story of this show starts around 1913 and season 9 is in 1922 (I think). If you googled you will see a similar wardrobe style in those years.
