- Hearties! After cheering on this couple for 3 seasons, it still seems a little surreal, but it's finally official: Elizabeth & Lucas have chosen each other! And this only the beginning of their beautiful lifetime together. The finale was satisfying, romantic, and better than anything I could've ever dreamed up. Erin & Chris are incredible actors and they DELIVERED. The whole cast, crew, writers, producers - they all delivered a fantastic season. I say it all the time and I'll continue to keep saying it - this show brings me so much joy. I love sharing my love for the show and for Lucas & Elizabeth, so I hope to keep making these videos and sharing them with the Hearties. Let's all choose to spread kindness, love, and joy. Can't wait for Season 9!!!

For me, the most difficult part of making a fan video is finding the right songs to tell the story and set the tone. I knew I wanted to use "Love on Top" for the Season 8 clips. Beyonce?! Yes, it's a Beyonce song and I've always loved it, but I'll admit I never fully appreciated the lyrics until I heard Tim Halperin's acoustic cover. This version just gave me the sense of calm that Lucas brings. It just oozes romance and that wonderful feeling of being in love. The song I used for S6 & 7, "When I'm with You", is a song I only recently came across on Spotify and immediately added to my playlist. I didn't know what I was looking for until I heard it. Once I had these two songs, I was finally able to put this video together. I think the lyrics to both of these songs are beautiful and fit perfectly with this love story.

He has & knows what HE WANTS ., unfortunately he felt that she didn’t love ❤️ him enough to follow & Leave it all behind , though she would , not re-route if he had to move, but he said that if it came yo that They would do back @ forth. ( though he thought that he wouldn’t win ) so that’s why he gave the engagement ring 💍 he said to himself I love ❤️ her but Elizabeth was never that far In., she was going to b someone that she needed stability? ( For her & Jack) But he knew & felt he’s life it was going to br he he broke it off , cause it would’ve been 3 in a That marriage. Now he travel when he needs too with no problems !!
Though I think LUCAS hasn’t been truthful & honest ( he has something hidden) that is going to bring a lot of headaches & trouble, turmoils ( though he’d want to fix it but that would have brought a lot of mixup that Elizabeth, that would have a put Elizabeth & Little Jack put them them both thru in alot of terrible problems which she doesn’t need to live it over & constant unhappiness w/ her life ( she needs to enjoy , a carefree life) full of joy , love. enjoying ‘ & seeing how Jack grows up thru a years & May be she willl welcome 🙏 with God to bless her with a beautiful little princess with Nathan & begin a beautiful family & new happy life 🙏❤️😘😘💋💋👍🏼

I was a huge fan of Jack and honestly thought his character could never be "replaced" and i am pleasantly surprised with Lucas. I love the amount of love, passion and patience coming from him. They are the cutest tv couple!

I don't know what show Sue was watching. Originally I was a fan of Nathan, but as the story unfolded I began to see how much better the chemistry was between Elizabeth and Lucas. To me it was undeniable! I began to realize Nathan would have simply been an attempt and probably not a very good attempt to recast Jack. I like Nathan's character a lot, but think the story will be much better if they bring in a NEW character to be his love interest. Why not have several love stories going on in Hope Valley? We have Lee and Rosemary and Jesse and Clara. We had Carson and Faith, and now Lucas and Elizabeth. Why not have Nathan and a new and exciting addition to the show? It could really enhance the story!!! Just a thought! I can't wait for S9 to see how they handle the E and L love story, and how they handle Nathan getting over what he thought was love and then finding someone who is perfect for him!!! The possibilities are endless!!! Again, I can't wait for S9 to begin!!!

Yes he would. Lucas is everything that Jack would want for Elizabeth. A man who loves her selflessly and puts her happiness first. Jack said that in his last letter that the important thing for him is her happiness. So yes Elizabeth sees Lucas and connects with him as soulmates

I loved that part too!!! It was so bittersweet when she removed her rings, but that scene with them finally coming together… knowing that they both loved each other, him noticing the rings were gone - which showed him she was ready to move on to the next chapter… with him 😭😭😭 His “I will wait as long as I have to, to win her heart” came full circle with the “Thank you for waiting for me.” ❤️❤️❤️ It was perfect

Another beautiful video you captured of their complete love story S6-S8. I don’t know how the triangle could have ended any other way. The writers threw in twists and turns in S8. But E was true to herself as she slowly gravitated towards Lucas giving her heart completely. Thanks for including the Dangerous Liaison scene. The timing for the phrase “It’s you” was on pointe all three times. I’ll add this to my list of Lucabeth videos to tie me over till S9. Well done @DreamingPom!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Yes! Exactly. I don’t think the triangle could’ve ended any other way. Looking back from Season 6, it’s been a slow and steady burn from their adorable meet-cute outside the saloon to the satisfying and well worth-the-wait epic first kiss at the bridge. Lucas has been so respectful and understanding, leading with kindness and patience… allowing Elizabeth to slowly open her heart to him at her own pace. It wasn’t a whirlwind romance and it was so wonderful to see that slow build in their relationship.
This was a beautiful reminder of their show burn and epic love story! The best is yet to come!

How can anyone not like Lucas for Elizabeth? His eyes and smile always telling her that he loves her, putting her before his feelings, always there for her but not putting pressure on her at the same time, a true gentleman, lots of acts of love, always trying to be near her but not make her feel uncomfortable... He truly won her heart even though the process took him several years in order for Elizabeth to allow her heart to be healed of sorrow and realize that it was him that she really loved.
Absolutely. Lucas always put Elizabeth first.. and like Joseph said at Ned & Florence’s wedding, Lucas won her heart “with gentleness, humility, and patience” ❤️
Your words are so right on for our Lucas & Elizabeth....they are truly meant for each other !! Hallmark has given us such a beautiful love story and can't wait for their next chapter to begin again.
I wish Hallmark would make a movie that centered mainly on Lucas and Elizabeth. As good as these videos have been, I think they illustrate that a spin off movieit could be sooooo much better than the latest Hallmark movies. Even with some of my favorite Hallmark actors and actresses staring in them, they have been trite and boring. I have actually stopped watching and deleted a couple of them half way through the movie. This could be where Lucas and Elizabeth with Little Jack go back East to meet Elizabeth's family, go on a book tour promoting her book, etc. A previous comment suggested these storylines for WCTH, but I think they would be better in a movie-- just an thought! As it is, I am happy that I saved several older movies to watch instead of the new ones.

I think Carolyn is right about making a movie about Elizabeth, Lucas and little Jack going on a book tour. It couldn't be part of the series because that would exclude the rest of Hope Valley.

Each of their interactions built up to this beautiful love story. Their relationship grew deeper slowly, steadily, taking each step with gentleness and patience. I don't know how much time I have with him, but I am treasuring each precious day with him. I met my husband in church...a great place to meet your spouse. @@lidiagutierrez5989 if I may explain the other side’s view: The problem is exactly this. If you cut out all the scenes of Elizabeth and Nathan then sure you’ve got your story but as it stands all those scenes were part of the show and that’s why the ending wasn’t so beautiful even for Lucas and it didn’t make sense to us.
@@1370np Chiming in here to share some of my thoughts. I went into Season 8 with an open mind, thinking it could go either way. Lucas was my preference based on the events of S6-7, but I was prepared for the writers to show me why Nathan, if Elizabeth was to pick Nathan, and why Lucas, if Elizabeth was to pick Lucas. From S8 E1 moving forward, it just became clearer and clearer to me that Lucas was the one she was in love with and the one who I believed would be a great partner for her.
Interesting thought.. if you put together all the clips of Lucas & Elizabeth without Nathan, it shows a beautiful love story; BUT if you put together all the Nathan & Elizabeth scenes without Lucas, I don’t believe there is a love story. 🤷♀️ There is a friendship and a shared connection to loss and the life of a Mountie, but I never saw anything more than that.
Although, I do see Nathan’s purpose in Elizabeth’s journey. Like Rosemary had said, some people come into our lives for a reason. It took Elizabeth a long time to finally realize that her connection to Nathan was because he, as Hope Valley’s mountie, reminded her of Jack. The Fort Clay revelation was only another trigger that brought back her grief from Jack’s death. Just like the hug in the S7 finale. After losing her husband in tragedy, that really just doesn’t go away. When Minnie mentioned how it must still be fresh for her, I think that struck Elizabeth. She hadn’t realized that she still hadn’t fully processed her grief. In a way, because Elizabeth was trying to see Jack in Nathan, letting Nathan go was like letting Jack go. Nathan is a reason that she finally realized that it was time for her to let Jack go & fully open her heart to her next great love: Lucas. He was patient, respectful, encouraging, generous, humble, honest, and always put Elizabeth and her happiness first. He gave her a sense of calm and relief from stress, and also encouraged & challenged her. They had similar backgrounds and shared a love for literature and the importance of family. I could go on and on about Lucas.
I think all the excitement and stress from having two teams.. this sort of rivalry that came out of the love triangle, unfortunately gave many impassioned fans pinhole visions as they watched Season 8. Chris, himself, said he thinks he looks a little older with the beard so maybe that's why they wanted to see if a thicker, longer beard would make Lucas look even older. He is definitely a handsome young man, but I do like the 'baby' face, dimples & smiles that can be seen with a more tapered beard. It doesn't seem 'Elizabeth' minds either way, LOL.
Chris did say the beard makes him look older but, he also said that it got longer due to COVID lockdowns. He admitted that he should have trimmed the mustache himself because to him it looked like a caterpillar. Lol. I love that .man.

I agree with Jean. I was Team Nathan in the beginning, but it became so obvious that Elizabeth was more comfortable with Lucas. Everything just flowed between them--conversation, glances, body language, etc. The interaction with Nathan always seemed strained and uncomfortable. These videos with scenes with Elizabeth and Lucas back to back absolutely show how there couldn't have been any other way the triangle could have been resolved!!! Can't wait for S9!!!

I've been watching for this since you mentioned you had some ideas for another video. Well, it was worth the wait. I will be watching it often because it tells their love story so beautifully. It brings me such happiness. My husband died a few years ago. Some might think it would make me sad to watch, but honestly it has the opposite effect. Deborah Putnam has expressed my feelings exactly! My husband passed a few years ago as well, and I feel the same way she does. E and L's relationship reminds me of the way my husband and I felt about each other!!! We were just friends at first, and like L my husband patiently waited for me to realize that he was the love of my life. Once I did, our beautiful love story began. After reading Deborah's comments, I realized why I have enjoyed watching the L/E relationship grow from a casual hello to a full blown romance. It reminded me of how beautiful love can be! Like Deborah, it doesn't make me sad. It just warms my 💜 heart!!! I can't wait to see this heart warming relationship continue to blossom and grow!!! S9 can't get here fast enough for me!!!
