One thing I have started to notice with government agencies in privately owned building is this. They use the fact that they are "renting" the private building from a "private entity" as a means to utilize the fact that the building is "privately owned" to make the false claims that you can be trespassed. What they fail to understand is that since the government is "renting" the building and utilizing that building for public needs that building loses is "private" status when it comes to trespassing in the public areas where the government agencies are located. Maybe we need to start digging into who owns these "private buildings" and how much the government is paying them in rent. I bet that rent is much higher than it would be for any other "private business" or "private entity".

I worked for the government for over 30 years as an investigator and an attorney. When asked by the public, I always identified myself. When you work for the government, you are working for the public. It's that simple. Most government employees don't have a full understanding of their job description and responsibilities. As a result, they are afraid they will be caught doing something wrong. The employees engaging with the auditor are acting in an official capacity. They should identify themselves.

Nothing will happen literally nothing. The judge and jury will let this cop go and maybe at most a $10,000 payout. whenever anybody decides to do an audit or get in the situation. You need to come armed with a laminated paper of all the case law and law that allows you to do this and when you’re arrested make sure the officer knows what the case law is so then they can’t claim ignorance. The officer most likely will say something like “yeah I don’t care you’re going to jail” and you can and should use that against the officer and you can say hey $10k is not enough to punish them since they know the law and still violate it and don’t care.

Those cops knew the law, they don’t care because they know there will be no consequences to them personally. If this guy wins a lawsuit you and I pay for that and he goes out and does it again tomorrow without a care !
IMAGINE, being a member of the public, in the public lobby of a public building, while public servants paid to help you are violating your rights, lying, making false police report and just not doing their jobs, INSANE, why is it the majority of adults and public servants have NO basic understanding of BASIC rights or laws or the fact the public is absolutely allowed there and to film and trying to stop him from filming in public IS a crime. They NEED to be less ignorant adults and competent public servants or fired.
I worked for the government for over 30 years as an investigator and an attorney. When asked by the public, I always identified myself. When you work for the government, you are working for the public. It's that simple. Most government employees don't have a full understanding of their job description and responsibilities. As a result, they are afraid they will be caught doing something wrong. The employees engaging with the auditor are acting in an official capacity. They should identify themselves.

That guy didn’t get that job because of his brains or qualifications I’m willing to bet he has a “ friend “ or family member who works there and they got him that job. He was so smug and nasty and he should be cleaning the toilets instead of working with the people. People like him treating people like this are exactly why Chicago is in such bad shape. I’m disabled and was treated so horribly at our local social security office that I get a ride to the other closest office that is over an hour’s drive away. I made a complaint about her and nothing happened because they condone this type of treatment. We need to have a complete overhaul of every single government agency because they just don’t understand that we are paying their paychecks.
Auditors should have plain closed first amendment attorneys with them, when doing audits. Easy lawsuits

it should require at least 4 years of college to become a cop. 2 years of it needs to be criminal justice and studying law and at least 1 year dedicated to identifying people with disabilities or medical conditions. imagine if i could go to work everyday and not know the rules constantly break them and just claim ignorance as an excuse...guess how long i would have a job...

Nothing will happen literally nothing. The judge and jury will let this cop go and maybe at most a $10,000 payout.
whenever anybody decides to do an audit or get in the situation. You need to come armed with a laminated paper of all the case law and law that allows you to do this and when you’re arrested make sure the officer knows what the case law is so then they can’t claim ignorance. The officer most likely will say something like “yeah I don’t care you’re going to jail” and you can and should use that against the officer and you can say hey $10k is not enough to punish them since they know the law and still violate it and don’t care.
