Thanks I love my two new DD’s 11.5” DD4RIIIs and 16” DD4RIII twins Mil spec/FDE. I am happy with the builds…perfect kit. ❤
Love the M4A1 with the RIS II! Can't go wrong with the timeless quad rail. I have the RIS III version of the M4A1 myself. More or less the same rifle, just has a M-LOK rail and the new full-ambi lower that DD has on the new RIS III lineup. Running B5 furniture, and a EOTech optic + magnifier setup. Still might get the RIS II version down the road sometime.. Still have love for the quad!
About the light setup. On my M4A1 RIS III, I currently have a Modlite installed with the Modbutton Lite switch. I also have Cloud Defensive REIN 2.0 and 3.0 and Surefire Scout WML's on my other rifles. Modlite is probably my favorite of the bunch though.. They are all great lights though, tbh. I have a one of the new Surefire M640 Turbo coming in soon.. Finally! Surefire stepping up their candela game. lol.
Sounds like an awesome setup/build. I’m leaning toward Modlite also. I have a lot of Surefire and Streamlight…wanting something different.
First time watching your channel and the M4A1 is also my first Daniel! Enjoyed the vid!
Welcome to my channel! Thank you 🙏
@@GunsmithBeard Just bought a LPVO Sig Sauer 1-8 scope for the Daniel. Can’t wait to use it!
I just received mine through an FFL here in Oregon. I've owned two DD rifles before and will probably never own another brand. They are solid rifles and have never experienced a failure in cycling a round, though I've used high-quality ammunition.
I agree. DD makes an insanely good rifle. I might look at getting the MK18 and turn it into a SBR. Since my first SBR paperwork came back in less than 30 days, I already have my approval letter.
I have the upper with a psa lower and a ssa-e trigger. What a great rifle!! Great video! Take care.
Sounds like a good set up! I absolutely love mine. Thank you for the feedback!
Spend the money on Surefire Mini Scout Pro Turbo duel fuel in FDE. I’m very particular about what goes on my rifles but I also don’t have unlimited financial resources to spend. That being said, for the build you’re showing in this video it NEEDS the Surefire for reliability and aesthetics. A Vtac sling would finalize. Nice rifle brother. I would also switch to the B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD. JMHO🇺🇸
That’s a good point thanks for the feedback!
My guy said geissele makes great milspec but I went after market… Geissele makes hand down the best triggers on the market.. the block for comes with a basic ssa.. and all their triggers are drop in
I would agree but when you get into encased drop-in trigger assemblies they are next level. I love the Trigger Tech Triggers. I believe they are still the best on the market.
Your is the carbine length gas system right. Not the new m4a1 with midlength? If so what buffer did u use or came with it. And how is it gassed with that buffer? Thanks much appreciated. I was told h2 for sure but wondered since they are known to be over gassed would a h3 be better. I know they recommend the h3 in like hk 416 and other external piston systems that are gassed simular to hk
GAS SYSTEM: Pinned Low Profile Gas Block CNC Machined of 4140 Hardened Steel with Mil-Spec Heavy Phosphate Coating, Carbine Length, Direct Impingement
Buffer weight is H2. I own a few Piston driven systems which are phenomenal and super reliable.
I've yet to own a complete factory DD rifle, but have used plenty of their parts over the years. Maybe someday I'll pick one up. They sure make some sweet rifles. Love B5 furniture. Heard great things about TriggerTech. What light are you thinking about grabbing? Been happy with my Cloud Defensive, Modulate and Arisaka rifle lights. Sadly CD doesn't have the Micro versions available which is what I prefer.
That would be awesome! As far as weapon lights I am thinking along those lines/brands. I haven't decide which one I want more... might depend more on what's in stock when I am ready to drop the money down! hahaha that's my honest answer!
Congratulations man I just purchased the same gun
I love it!!! Congrats to you as well…
Very similar to my setup (when I’m not LARPing as “Sicario’s” CIA spook who made me want to buy this gun). I have had a factory setup with a coyote tan SOPMOD stock, Aimpoint PRO, and Magpul AFG2 as my go-to.
hahaha I know the feeling. I really do like this rifle, diffly one of my favorites, the RAL8000 is one of my new favorite colors with a mix of black parts.
This is going to be my first rifle once I leave CT.
You definitely won’t be disappointed!
Nice, I don’t think it come with a geissele tigger who replaces that, where’s your weapon light brother?
I am looking for one now, Cloud Defense or Modlite... what I am looking at.
@@GunsmithBeard modlite
olight is 1/4 the cost of surefire with the same qualty and brightness.@@GunsmithBeard
Modlite plhv2 on my DD M4a1
That is a powerhouse for a light. Insanely well made.
@@GunsmithBeard yes it is. What setup for a light did you end up going with
Looks noice.
Thank you 🙏🏼
So if the barrel is 14.5 does that mean it's NFA regulated? Or does the pinned and welded flash suppressor make it 16 inches?
No, it’s not an NFA item. It’s a 14 1/2 inch barrel with a pin and welded muzzle device that pushes it out to 16.1 inches. So, according to ATF, it meets the requirements to be a rifle and not an NFA item.
So why would you not just get the 16 inch barrel? Don't make sense! It's not shorter and easier to move around if it's still 16 inches and don't you loose some velocity all for nothing.
Don't care about brands why don't you do a go no gauge checking everything and see if it is as good as the marketed
I do. I check head spacing for safety and quality control. You are correct, for some brands, you are paying more for the name than the quality.
Your just mad because you can't afford one 😂
@@justusbryant7366 you ever watch school of American rifleman. It just reassures me that brands are not everything.

Geissele super duty or DD M4A1 !?? And Why !?
Here’s my honest, answer the Geissel super duty still in my opinion is a midtier rifle, even though it is a great choice, it’s not a tier one, Daniel Defense is definitely a tier one! It’s battle proven, special forces approved! It’s built like a tank, and it shoots amazingly! The only other AR that I would pick up that I would say is a tier one that I don’t own is a Noveske. I’ve seen the craftsmanship that goes into those rifles, and it is hands-down, one of my favorites. I’ve even had the opportunity to shoot Sons of liberty gun Works ARS, which I think are good AR 15s but they’re still high mid tier. They’re trying their best to get into a tier one, but they’re just not there yet in my opinion. Another great rifle that a lot of people forget about is the Q designs. For example, look up the honey badger!!! It’s insanely awesome and quiet!
Is this color b5 ral8000? Stock and grip
Yes, it is! I Lov that color!
@@GunsmithBeard is the same cerakote ral 8000? Do you know?
