Damn I haven't played this since i was a kid. It actually doesn't look as dated as I thought. I remember renting this game at Blockbuster back in the day lol. I think I've only finished about 5 missions before i had to return it. The game was too hard, I didnt know what an RPG was at the time lmao. Oh, and I do remember Cyclops powerset gets much better later on. At one point I remember being able to spam his optic blasts repeatedly without losing energy so fast. He does get a much wider version of his blast that can hit multiple enemies instead of 1

I would like to see a part 2 playthrough for X-Men Legends. Btw the game does start out hard, but it becomes more enjoyable in the second half. Have fun playing! 😉👍
I rebeat this game recently and started legends 2. I used Wolverine as a kid because healing factor helped a lot. This play through I used cyclops and had his beam so high I almost one shot everything. Even bosses if did combo it was like 2-4 shots. I was proud lol.
@@PIMPTD Cyclops and Wolverine used to be on my team pretty much throughout the entire playthrough when I was a kid. Still use them plenty but i try to mix it up more nowadays. Loved Cyclops' Optic Rage Xtreme
@ I understand that. I actually used team it starts you with this time. I was abusing storm and cyclops exp boost for team leader. If I go to play it with my cuz I’m going to use iceman since that’s one of my nicknames lol. I’ll let him pick rest of the team.
Cool you got to play the game that led the way to Marvel Ultimate Alliance and if you like all star Superman I recommend New X-Men because the writer and artist of All star Superman are part of New X-Men it’s a really good series too also X-Men Legends is very good but X-Men Legends 2 surpassed it and Marvel Ultimate Alliance is better than both X-Men Legends
@@JCubby-TH-cam You can die pretty quick early game, you can soft lock yourself if you run out of money since you need to to revive unlike MUA where it is time based, it forces you to use certain characters to advance in levels such as iceman for ice bridges, if they are dead then you're fecked if you have the aforementioned no money. Of course these are early game problems, the game does get easier as it goes on, I would say too easy, the balancing is wack... and worst of all... no new game plus and missable collectibles :) oh and... and the real worst thing, the characters you don't use don't level up, just like MUA3, might just be the thing that annoys me the most.
@@matthewbraith0411The characters you don't use do level up :) They're not gonna be equal to your current highest level but not too far behind either. MUA3 is the only one where they get no exp (: I agree about it being annoying to have to pay to revive characters tho. I liked the idea of the environmental puzzles but there should've been extraction points close by so you can easily switch to the required character imo (:
@@montecristosmith2343 It has been a while since I played it so I had to look up if the characters leveled up, the google AI thing, whatever it is, said that they don't, AI is the future my arse :) anyway I don't 100% hate the game, I still a had a good time with it :)
I loved these games as a kid. I hope you stick with them and try out x-men legends 2 rise of apocalypse too. Loving the playthroughs
