The leaky mug is back - Acrylic pour painting for beginners

- One of my first attempts at acrylic pour painting was the perforated cup. At the bottom of the cup holes are drilled at short intervals. So that the cup has a distance to the canvas, I have stuck a bottle cap under it.
Simply place the cup centered on the canvas and pour in your favorite colors one at a time.
I chose yellow, blue and white.
The pattern is beautiful, but it does not help, it's too much color. So just courage and tilt in the desired direction. As a reward, you will receive a beautiful picture that is unique.

I would love to see you do this again but with a wet layer of paint so that the borders of your paint coming out of the cup do not become speed bumps of the rest of the design. A medallion shape would have been really cool!

Love this piece!! Super tranquil! I am always intrigued by the “strainer” or “leaky cup” technique as they all turn out so incredibly different from one another..more-so than other techniques, but the way this one finished, it looked more like it was done using the blow dryer technique than the leaky cup. Not that it’s a bad thing, just an observational opinion.😊
I used too much paint that unfortunately had to go down. The structure or demarcation but you get only by this technique.

I tryed it. But the soda cap wasn't high enough off the canvas for my paint flow. I'm going to try doing a med dose cup on the bottom of the cup today. An see if that helps. Again thank you for sharing the idea. 😄
It can happen. Just try again. The color should not be too thick, so it flows out better.

Yep the moment you start moving it around it looks like any other acrylic pour

Couldn't you use less paint or catch the runoff with another canvas and make 2 at once so you're not wasting all that paint?
Canvas isn't cheap...

Sache en tout cas que tu me fais rêver depuis une petite semaine et que je suis chaque jour un peu plus proche du moment où je vais finir par aller acheter de l'acrylique et des toiles, le tout sans 🖌 ! Moi qui suis si nul avec, je crois avoir trouver de quoi me reconsilier avec l'art de la peinture. Il me semble que ça vaut bien un grand merci.

Mostly silicon oil in paint
You have to use a medium like floetrol or deco art pouring medium or Liquitex pouring medium, it usually states the ratio on the bottle, then add a little water to get to the right consistency. Then some artists add silicone to it too, to make the cells!
Do it again but dont move please!
