Jerry, I hold the patent on the sidekicks in your video. I noticed that they are mounted too low on the crash guard and therefore you are not getting the full benefit. You will get more leverage ( which these are all about) with them mounted higher on the bar. Usually around 17 inches off the ground depending on the bike.
+Carl Nethery Are these still being sold?
@rivieraman71 Yes, I teach my advanced rider classes in Hudson, Florida. My class schedule is up on my website through June, 2012.
I have been riding 40 years. I would welcome use of the " Sidekicks " during stop and go Chicago traffic. Even during long construction back ups where you dread having to put your feet up and down off the pegs.
Bet during a rain or slippery wet roads they would come in handy at lower speeds.
I can imagine a larger passenger being able to mount and dismount easier too.
Not to cheat but all those bike club events one goes to during the riding months....like the " hot dog " contest.....!!
I'm 60 today, so maybe need them soon !!!
do you only teach in Hudson? im qn hour and a half south of tampa but alreqdy signed up for a course in Sarasota. would still like to take your class though!
What happened to sideki k
I want a set. Where can I get a pair & how much are they?
Cindy....the link to rush racing products shows at the beginning of this video, that should get you in the right direction.
Yeah that could instill a little more confidence especially for smaller riders until they become comfortable doing the maneuvers.
If I didn't know any better, I would think these are training wheels. Pretty cool.
Rush sidekicks
Rush racing products doesn't sell them. Too bad.
Wonder what Jerry's gonna charge as a premium on the price for the daffy duck walking training wheels? gouge his eyes out Jerry u da man.....lmfao
I have done the testing on this product for RUSH over the last 2 years on 7 different bikes. I think they are marketing this wrong. During testing I spent 80% of my time riding solo with just the right wheel on. It takes the work out and puts the fun back into riding. These are great for people thinking about a trike but they should be marketing them to everyone with the option of buying just one side. Please try riding with one side, I would value your feedback .
yes still being sold contact me at carln@netnitco.net
Checked the following website and confirmed ... no longer manufactured: www.bikernet.com/pages/Side_Kicks_For_Motorcycles.aspx
You will endorse anything
Actually, I only endorse products I've tried, and found that they work as advertised. If that somehow bothers you, go to another youtube channel. Pretty simple.
Jerry ... IF one NEEDS "training wheels" They sure DON'T belong on a bike ..... (NOT one with a damn motor on it.......) !!! lol
I ride but broke my knee and just now on full weight bearing. So this would help me until my knee is fully ready to take all the weight. A lot of people could use something like this. Why stop riding if you can use something to help you.
Rick thats just an arrogant statement nothing more.
