In music grades, this would be known as a second grade piano song. Second grade pianists should be able to play this. They should also be able to play für Elise. This doesn’t literally mean 2nd grade btw
Ice The Caterpillar so there’s different levels in skills in piano playing? If i’m interpreting this correctly, as the music grade number increases, the difficulty and skills of the individual player is higher?
i know what you mean, i played piano from 8 years old to 13 and i stopped then got into guitar for 4 years and ever since i saw synthesia i was hooked back onto my old ways. thank god for piano, synthesia and girls :D
One of my college roommates taught me this song on the piano in my sophomore year at UCLA. I’ve had this song saved since then and glad it’s still up 😊
Don't worry ! You'll do it ! :D I can't read music sheets, but I learned to play this song quit fast. I just few days a week, for about a month. Of course it sucked when I started :p Now I can do it quite well =w=
I self taught myself on playing the piano but I still can't play so well. I have a keyboard but it only has 61 keys so I can't many of the songs I want to "try." Fortunately, this song can and in about three weeks, I was able to play up to 2:07. Of course, that doesn't mean I practice everyday and I'm not a good pianist :P
I'm not very good playing piano neither. I'm trying with tutorials like this one. And my keyboard is quite small too. I was thinking on buy one new since long. I'll try this song now that school is over on my country. And congratulations that you learned it :D
This is not too too hard well compare to other songs i have listened to and I want to try this but still I can't play T^T I really want to play piano to surpass my brother
This is so pretty, I never appreciated the song before because my younger sister would sing it horribly. She can't sing, my family does not seem to have a gift for music, but I love it so much.
you need a piano of some sort to play at all since its the instrument to play the song. but if you have a piano keyboard you can connect it to your computer which opens up more useful features on synthesia. all you have to do is put the .midi file into the synthesia music folder. or any folder you want and go to settings in synthesia and tell it to search that folder for music
Left side, should be easy. The right, little more difficult. If I ever attempt to learn this, I would likely mix up my right and left hands! But I think it should be fine especially since the song also isn’t too difficult speed-wise
It takes a lot of time (which I don't really have much of nowadays T_T) so I'm ever grateful that I stumbled across this on youtube! :D Now all the midi files I planned to spend hours on end arranging can be done in mere minutes!
It's an executable file programmed to play midi files, while allowing midi keyboard inputs to manipulate the sound output and a score to show how well a song is played.
@TelicNotionX / AnimeYoukai911 The majority of the songs in the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Game soundtracks are named "You." But there are those named "Dear You." So this song is called by both names. But from what I see, the versions sung by the voice actors are called "Dear You" and the versions that are made by Dai and its remixes are simply called "You." I'm seeing this information from the titles of the songs in the booklets of the Higurashi albums.
by the way if you saw the first one (higurashi no naku koro ni) there is another one called higurashi no naku koro ni kai it kind of explains the things happening in the first one.
The fingering for 2:12 - 2:14 was pretty tricky imo. I had major issues playing it for a while. Then again, I learned Pico's transcription of the song, so that part is a little bit different and easier imo. I'd say practice makes perfect. I kept at it every so often and I can play that part pretty well now. If you look at Pico's version in the video description, it has another variation of that part that you could probably try and learn.
this is the first song I'm playing since I'm still really new to playing on he piano. I thought I was doing good for the past couple days, but I look through to check again, and daym. I need to memorize that right hand near the middle....
@addicttoanime12 Well, using the pedal is up to you. I've been self taught so I'm not sure how to 'legitimately' use the damper pedal, but I use it help a piece flow more fluidly.
@TheRevenge456 If your keyboard has 88 keys, yes it's possible. If it's 60-something, it should be possible. Just check the sheet music and see if you can play all the notes.

@HanakoFujita Yeah, the creators of Syntheisa originally called this Piano Hero from what I heard. Of course, that sounds too similar to Guitar Hero, so they changed it.
www.mediafire.com/download/hm66zrk2b303h39/you_original.mid this should be pretty much the same, I took it from th-cam.com/video/lnPd9d8W0nQ/w-d-xo.html
this piece is actually pretty easy and i would recommend any beginners to try it out. it's pretty slow paced and the left hand is just a loop of the exact same thing over and over again (it changes once but then loops that)
@RockLeeAndSpe For real? I learned to play piano for "Lilium" on Eflen Lied, and I've been playing piano ever since, I learned this song a year ago. :D
When you start up Synthesia, there should be a window asking you to select a .Midi song to play. Download the .midi file in the video description for this song, and choose to play that .midi.
@Evelina0Cookie You don't need to connect your keyboard to your computer. Synthesia just 'plays' a .midi file for you, similar to this video. On a side note, I want to promote Synthesia in hopes getting more people interested in it.
this is actually relatively a good and easy song for a beginner to start with.
Can confirm, only took me a week to get the first two minutes or so
From where is your profile pic?
In music grades, this would be known as a second grade piano song. Second grade pianists should be able to play this. They should also be able to play für Elise. This doesn’t literally mean 2nd grade btw

Ice The Caterpillar so there’s different levels in skills in piano playing? If i’m interpreting this correctly, as the music grade number increases, the difficulty and skills of the individual player is higher?
The one song that actually managed to make me cry....
The meaning's beautiful too....
Put the speed on 0.5 to get Uro (Hollow)
Put the speed on 1 to get Dear You
Put the speed on 2 to get Dear You -Destructive-
This option is fun.
I love this song, it's perfect for Shion and how she feels about Satoshi.
Beautiful.
That was so beautiful
I must play this to refresh my skills. Haven't played in years.
It would be very appropriate for a Furude to play it. :-)
synthesia makes visual learning ultra easy, thanks for posting these tutorial, so much faster and its hard to get confused
i know what you mean, i played piano from 8 years old to 13 and i stopped then got into guitar for 4 years and ever since i saw synthesia i was hooked back onto my old ways. thank god for piano, synthesia and girls :D

I love this song, specially on piano. Sounds wonderful.
I think I will be able to play this ......... right?
of course! I believe in you :-)
Helix Wletcher Took me a while, but I finally learned it.
WRONG :^
Left side, should be easy. The right, little more difficult. If I ever attempt to learn this, I would likely mix up my right and left hands! But I think it should be fine especially since the song also isn’t too difficult speed-wise
I learned it after a month, now I feel realized and proud of myself :"D
I wish I can play this, it's so beautiful. :(
Haha tks man. I practice this song for 9 months and now I can play it 100% speed. I come back here just to say thank. Love it ^^
ive been playing this for 5+ weeks and i memorized every green note, timing and everything. so like you were saying, stick to it.
@ItsNuckChorris It's an anime song. The anime is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and the song is Dear You. The original was sung by Yuduki. :)
It takes a lot of time (which I don't really have much of nowadays T_T) so I'm ever grateful that I stumbled across this on youtube! :D Now all the midi files I planned to spend hours on end arranging can be done in mere minutes!
Love this, Beautiful composition
Thanks for the sheet music.
That...was beautiful. T_T Gorgeous, as good as the original piece. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for uploading this video! Finally I can learn Dear you with piano
I NEVER KNEW SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG BELONGED TO HIGURASHI....!!! :O

There's an annotation to a 50% speed one on the video. Top left hand corner.
by the way if you saw the first one (higurashi no naku koro ni) there is another one called higurashi no naku koro ni kai it kind of explains the things happening in the first one.
you'd be surprised! despite the anime's appearance, it's actually a really good story!
So lovely
thanks to you I'm playing this music all the time at the piano!
thank's :)
I love it too, Nipah~

Anata wa ima doko de nani wo shite imasu ka?
Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?
Where are you now, what are you doing?
Are you in this endless sky?
Ima made watashi no kokoro wo umete ita mono
Ushinatte hajimete kizuita
Konna ni mo watashi wo sasaete kurete ita koto
Konna ni mo egao wo kureteita koto
I realized for the first time
I've lost the things that have filled my heart till now
How much you supported me
How much you made me smile
Ushinatte shimatta daishou wa totetsumonaku ooki sugite
Torimodosou to hisshi ni te wo nobashite mogaku keredo
That I'd lost them was too much to consider
Even though I struggled so desperately to reach out my hand and take them back
Like the wind they slipped through, looking as though they would reach me, but did not
Kodoku to zetsubou ni mune wo shimetsukerare
Kokoro ga kowaresou ni naru keredo
Omoide ni nokoru anata no egao ga
Watashi wo itsumo hagemashite kureru
My chest was tightened by loneliness and despair
My heart felt like it would break
But your smiling face remained in my memories
Always encouraging me
Mou ichido ano koro ni modorou
Kondo wa kitto daijoubu
Itsumo soba de waratteiyou
Anata no sugu soba de...
Let's return to those days once more
I know it will be alright this time
Always smiling at your side
Close by your side...
Anata wa ima doko de nani wo shite imasu ka?
Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?
Itsumo no you ni egao de ite kuremasu ka?

Thank you so much! Now I have to repeat this song on my piano! ^-^
thats amazing!!!!!
When you start up Synthesia, there should be a window asking you to select a .Midi song to play. Download the .midi file in the video description for this song, and choose to play that .midi.
@puddingsoupi it is from higurashi no naku koro ni (or when they cry) :3
this is beautiful :)
It's never too late to learn!
@Evelina0Cookie
You don't need to connect your keyboard to your computer. Synthesia just 'plays' a .midi file for you, similar to this video.
On a side note, I want to promote Synthesia in hopes getting more people interested in it.
