  • Hey! Thanks for watching! Welcome to GUIMERAS, Such a BEAUTIFUL island a 15 minute boat ride from the city of ILOILO, and its actually the BIRTHPLACE Of mangos here in the Philippines, just kidding but it is the main producer and exporter of mangos so of course we had to try all things MANGO, including a mango pizza?! Would you try a Mango pizza? probably not

The best mangos in the World are Pakistani Sindhri and Chausa mangos, and a container of 24 Pakistani mangos is sold for $40 USD in America.

The mangoes are wrapped when they are still small in glossy papers so that bugs will not be able to penetrate the fruits, hence, resulting in an unblemished mango, which can ultimately command premium price.

I think guimaras is underrated is because the pier is not well developed . If this is well develop and renovated , this will produce more of an income generating in Iloilo's tourism ..theres so many undiscovered besutiful places to see in this island i guess.. Hopefully if somebody can tell the mayor of iloilo about this .....just saying !!!!

My father was from Guimaras Island. I was born in Iloilo but grew up here in Manila. Anyways, mangoes in Guimaras are basically exported outside the island but forbid other mangoes from outside coming in to the island to avoid mixing of other types to their very high quality of mangoes.

Thank you for visiting our little Island, I hope you enjoyed!

I used to bring some for my South African friend and she told me she literally had to eat on her kitchen sink because it was so juicy. She had to fight with her brother over the last piece too! Mangoes made me think of her.

Guimaras mango was a result of Dept of Agriculture project and their very first orchard grew trees scioned from trees from Bohol and came from nursery of Ubay experimental station in Bohol. Guimaras was chosen because the island is small enough to be effectively quarantined and produce export quality fruits.

Yes. The soul there is different. It doesn't stick to your shoes, so that your shoes comes out still clean and free of mud, because the soil is actually minute pulverized gravel mixed with soil. The heat of this mix is what creates a very sweet variety of mangoes , the sweetest in the world. Iloilo and Guimaras mangoes are the sweetest in the world.

That's definitely another beautiful beach discovery and a lot of people didn't even know that there is stunning beach right there. A hidden gem for every people who was in fond of going to the beach to spent some time and enjoy. It really looks paradise but a lot of people still unaware that there is a beach a must see and visit to enjoy. If i'm there i spent going to that beach every weekend for the water was so clear but there's nobody's around swimming just you.

Mangoes are wrapped to Protect them from insects mostly... They're crazy about sweet food, too.

Guimaras mango is in the Guinness Book of record as the “ sweetest” mango in the world… They sometimes call it “ Carabao” mango.. I don’t really know why 😄.
