When grinding manually, I found out it is easier when you are moving both arms instead of holding the grinder in place and cranking with the other :)

I’ll try that next time :)

How do you do that? I mean holding the grinder between your legs and using both hands?!!

@@Grotto666 I think if she holds it between her legs, she can't even hold it with her hands !?

@@Grotto666 It is a push-pull motion. So both hands are moving opposite to each other as opposed to having one hand clamping the body and the other one grinding

@@Grotto666 It happens naturally, your non-grinding arm that's holding the grinder moves back and forth about 6 inches.

I can tell you make a great cup of coffee! I love watching a youtuber who's actually knowledgeable about coffee-making. Also appreciate all the tips you put at the bottom ;) Never thought about stirring at the end, with the last of the water, I'll try that next time!
Random information that might help others making coffee:
    - As a general rule of thumb you can do 1/8 cup to every 12oz cup you're making. If you're making two 12 oz cups, use a 1/4, etc. (though measuring by gram is definitely more accurate, just takes a longer time)
    - The grind should be bigger the more time the water spends on the grounds. If you're making a pour-over, the water won't be sitting on the grounds long enough, so you need a smaller grind (that's why with espresso you want the grind super tiny, because the water is going past the beans so fast). If you were using a french press, you'd want a bigger grind, because they'll be sitting in the water for four minutes. If the grind is too small then the water will extract too much oil from the beans, making the coffee taste bitter. With pour-over, generally go with a medium size grind, or even a bit smaller if you like your coffee more bitter.
    - For the water, aim for 199 or 200 F (92 or 93 C), just below boiling. If your water is boiling, that can lead to uneven extraction or bitterness, since it'll start the brewing process too early and go way too fast, extracting too much oil. I've found 199 F (92 C) to be perfect, while my parents prefer 202 F (95 C).

Hey Laura Angelia, I am currently trying to understand how to make coffee and what types of coffee to make. I am trying to get hired but i am scared about how many coffee types there are. I want to know what coffees i should learn how to make so i don't have to waste time in learning how to make 50 types of coffees. If you could respond and name all the common types of coffee i should remember i would really appreciate it. It would allow me to focus more on the coffees i need to remember than the ones i will not ever make. THANK YOU!
