Enjoy Barmouth but wouldn’t go back to the campsite again to big and busy for my liking I prefer a quieter peaceful site. I even left 1 day early to come home.
We were 'regulars' between 1991 and about 2014. Went every year for our main 2 week holiday and any other holidays we could get there. Kids absolutely loved Barmouth and so did my wife and myself. Beautiful beach, town quite nice and we used it as a base for visiting the 'little trains of Wales'. Proprietor then was Alun Williams and his lovely wife Leslie and their family. It's changed ownership since then. The 'kids' grew up and went off to do their own thing and it just wasn't the same without them. In my opinion the best site in the country but then I am more than a little biased... Love your videos. There's a lot of very happy memories and I usually have a lump in my throat and a slight tear in my eye.
Thank you for the comment it’s a beautiful site although I found it a little noisy and rowdy mainly from the tent campers but i would definitely go again
Yes it could be in the top field at the north end but Alun and his crew ran a fairly tight ship and kept things under control. We had a large folding camper trailer tent. As we were regulars and had 2 disabled children he was careful where we were positioned. We had electric hook up so was fairly close to his house in the centre. Every year we went we were with other regulars so it was always fairly quiet and peaceful. We noticed a change when the new owners took over and it wasn't the same for us.
We stayed there in 2021, lovely place to stay. Toilets and showers in need of an update, clean but old. Lovely walk along the seafront into Barmouth. Highly recommend Goodies Coffe Shop for amazing cakes and dog friendly too.
Lovely site, we stayed there for 3 nights back in Feb 2020, we had one night with really high winds and very rough seas we could see the waves splashing high up over the treeline from our pitch at the top end of the site, Barmouth is a lovely seaside town with beautiful sandy beaches, we saw the life boat return and out back on the tractor / trailor unit, there is a video on my channel of that 👍
Personally I liked Barmouth but not the campsite it was to busy and noisy for me think you get that when campers in tents are there I left one day early to come home.
@@Motorhoming_Fun seems to me since COVID kids seem to spend less time in school, when we did Norwegian cruise it was mid term and the amount of kids on there we couldn't believe 😮
Beautiful campsite 😊
It really is! Thank you for watching 💕
Thanks for the site tour Ian.Looks like a big site and toilets look a bit dated - but clean. Will be interested to see what you think of it.Cheers.
