over the past couple of weeks I've attracted a feral cat to my back deck. He is maybe a year old, not fully grown. It's getting colder now, sometimes to freezing in the southeast US. He went from nothing to having his own place, having his very own human, canned cat food twice a day and always dry food and water. No more hunting for the next meal. He's still too shy to use it, but he has a cat house I made from a large plastic bin with a quiet heater and a blanket. He still prefers the cat bed out in the open. Last night I finally saw him playing with the cat toy fish on a spring, kicking it with his back feet and biting it like a normal kitten... sign he isn't in survival mode anymore.
He's so handsome but all cats are beautiful. I love the way you love and take care of them and how much you enjoy them. Nice seeing Walter in the back ground. Stay well my friend. And bless you.💞

We have his American cousin in Florida. Her name is Sissy. She has hair that feels like a rabbitt. She is a total sweetheart. We adopted her from our animal shelter in 2020. She will be 2 in March.
