    Same. I wish I would’ve started earlier like 2 years ago. I’m 5 months into my journey and it’s such a beautiful experience.

    That final tip is everything!!! Black looks really great on you, and switching up hair accessories might help in moments anyone gets the itch to dye their locs! Loves those beads

    I wish I started sooner too. Also wish I listened to my gut and did them myself. Currently taking them out and starting over because I don’t like the parts 😕

    I'm a middle part person too!!
    I'm on my 3rd loc journey, bc the person that started my 2nd locs started with interlock without my consent and she dismiss what I said on wanting a middle part, so I'm on my 3rd and last journey and absolutely happy I got it back! Also, I would not have known you didn't have a middle part it isn't as obvious as mine was and you're locs are beautiful 💓

    I wanna color my hair but from past experiences i know i won’t keep it long... like you said I’m newly locked and sometimes I just want something different. At most I’ll dye it to is black and that’s for a fact... I love black hair and that’s the only color I’ll rock forever... I thank God for hair paint wax... i know I’ll be playing with that once they’ve matured... I love that stuff! I also haven’t been maintaining my hair AT ALL because I have “hand in hair syndrome” and I know I’ll be doing too much and probably comb them out 🤦🏾‍♀️... I’ll probably let my loctician do her thang at least for the first year. She’s amazing and it’s nice to let somebody else just handle it.

    Hey I'm newly loc'd. I regret not conducting a research either, I was stressed, and free during the month that I decided to loc my hair. My stylist is a person I'm quite acquainted with. She did uneven parting. Smaller partings at the front and medium partings at the middle of my hair. She's been interlocking my hair, this is the fourth time and I don't like the procedure she uses, in short she tricked me, her job is shoddy, and during my budding stage, the shaggy parts of my strands were trimmed off, she advised that would make my locs more defined and more neat. I feel they look thin, and I hate myself now, I feel like shaving my hair and starting a fresh. I began my journey at the beginning of September 2022, my hair length was slightly past the TWA stage, I think the neck stage length. I'm worried.

    I just started my two strand twists loc journey and I've been having some issues deciding on what shampoo to use. I see everyone saying that you should not use ordinary shampoo and only use dr bronners.
    Do you use any shampoo of your choice? All these different loc shampoos and reviews can be a little conflicting

    • @RAHKNEESHUH
      @RAHKNEESHUH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use Giovanni’s Tea Tree Triple Threat shampoo. You want to use a shampoo that is very clarifying and that won’t cause build up. Dr. Bronners is good because it strips your hair of whatever product is on your hair. It can feel drying tho.

    I did a lot of research b4 starting my locs because that's just who I am. I have to know pros and cons before deciding on anything. I wanted diamond parts but I did it myself and that was too hard so I settled on square parts. They aren't exactly brick layered but hopefully that won't cause too much trouble in the future. I thought I would always have my hair styled but once I head how too manipulation can be bad I changed my mind. I have also watched lots of videos about maintaining the locs and avoiding build up. One way of getting build up is my not covering the hair when sleeping or cleaning and another way is using products that cannot be easily washed out top of that list being wax. I saw ur last video of the hair style and loc retwist. I saw the picture first so I liked it cause the hair was cute but after I watched the video and you were talking about how the stylist used wax I immediately stopped watching and took away my thumbs up. I didn't want to give it a thumbs down because the style was cute but you didn't go about getting it in the healthiest way. And now that you admitted to not doing your research b4 you started I can't be mad you. Some people learn things through trail and error. Hopefully the wax doesn't lead to any detrimental effects.

    • @RAHKNEESHUH
      @RAHKNEESHUH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Everything in life is about trial and error! If the wax causes buildup, I can always do a loc detox! It’s just hair. 😉

    Confused. Thicker 1 day and sisterlocs the next? This video is 3 years old so I'm going to assume by now you learn how to retwist your own locs
