I really liked the richness of the colours after your first swipe, Courtney, but I see how the second one lightened and brightened the sky. I like how you "chopsticked" the horizon line and foreground. Great result!
Rather than trees or mountains in the distance, I see the flames of a raging fire...which is GORGEOUS! You elevate swipes to a whole new level Courtney!

I do love your landscapes. They really have been in your head I think for some time. The spun landscapes on the pottery wheel were nice to. That was no easy task back then. I would love to insert a 5 second clip in your video saying...this isn't as easy as it looks peeps ...lol. I am pretty sure they get that but until you actually try the Hoelscher way you may not fully appreciate the Queen of Fluidity as much. Yep...just gave you a title, for what it's worth. 😁👍
I just got to know who you are! First thing I did was watch your hiatus announcement. I love this painting. You and Cathleen have turned me into a fan of the swiping technique. All I had ever seen in other's swipes was a line as the only composition and that wasn't terribly interesting to me. I am very new to paint pouring and I've been trying hard to find new artists to learn from because, of the dozen or so I've watched, I've seen their videos 1-2 times each, all of them. There are some techniques I don't care for and swiping WAS one of them until I found you and Cathleen and now I've seen all of hers at least once and some, 2-3 times, so its not surprising that you were her teacher. I am mostly disabled, so this new hobby for me became a new way to think, and I understand darkness because after the motorcycle accident that disabled me, I went and continue to stay in a lot darkness. In 2003, between some of my surgeries, my son was killed in an airplane accident and so the darkness got bigger, much bigger. I used to make jewelry and would still be doing that had it not given me such bad arthritis in my hands., So, when I saw this kind of art on You Tube, I thought it could be something I could do without having excruciating pain. So though I've just found you, I will watch the videos you have done and learn from that and I wish you much light and joy during this time of re-building the light in yourself. Hey, just do the art and forget about You Tube. It is your life, the only one you have and you owe nothing to anyone but yourself. Be well.

You mentioned you didn't spray the paper on one of the swipes. What are you spraying the paper with? I missed that part and am not catching it when re-playing.
I mean, I do art with them all day. After school, no, unless art club on Wednesdays, then yes. They did some art while they were with me. I need my full focus and concentration in an empty room by myself to do these paintings. I couldn't concentrate or be able to work from start to finish without interruption if kids were with me.
Great question. The answer is lack of funding for public schools. We don't have enough money for that many buses and bus drivers. So, the kids that were waiting are on "2nd load". The same bus comes twice; once at 3, and again at 4. The same bus picks up and delivers two loads of kids.
